Interests? Interests or "Special Interests"? - Thanks to Stephane for the phrase. Haha..i.e. "special interest noodles" and "special interest green".
How about Snow in Victoria? That was fairly intersting. Although, today was 12 degrees C, so I can't complain about the snuggly white blanket that dropped from the sky on two occassions this winter.
Other than snow...I enjoy: Searching for antiques, sipping champagne, dancing to rockabilly music..well, any sort of music for that matter, laughing, getting fetished up, remembering Dublin, travelling, designing shoes, making martinis, talking to locals, collecting mid-century modern, making people up (of should that be MACing people up?), the smell of cigars, running around Montreal, kissing my husband, enjoying retro everything, style and fashion everything, practicing PR, crafting, getting pierced/tattooed, exploring Victoria, writing up a storm, stealth photography, dinner parties, swimming in the ocean...oh, loads of things...did I mention travelling?
Well, everyone...especially people in and around Victoria. We're missing our friends so much from Montreal, and we need new ones here to harass! Haha..and you Montreal peeps better come and visit now, ya hear?!
As you can see below...I have recently moved from Montreal to Victoria. Steffi and I headed out west in our car..and here are the results!
Rockabilly, psychobilly, punkabilly, skunkabilly...haha...things that end in "billy". Some punk, rowdy Irish music, opera, ska, musicals, classical, jazz, old country...80s music in general...new wave. Oh, and then there's Brit Pop and grunge from the 90s. Essentially anything that has a beat and can turn me into a fool on the dance floor, piano, drums, or microphone...or behind the counter at MAC.
Too many to include...but I'll take "old" for a thousand, Alex. Other than that, I dig the Red Curtain collection...especially Strictly Ballroom and Moulin Rouge. I've got a thing for Tim Burton - Nightmare, Sleepy Hollow, Batman Returns..haha..etc. Also, crazy Irish movies that nobody sees...The Commitments, The Snapper, The Van..um..okay, people saw those..but others too like The General..wow, I think it must be mandatory for Irish movies to have a THE in the title..ope, no...Waking Ned Divine and I Went Down don't! Yipee!!! Of course there are other favourites like Bridget Jones's Diary, Liberty Heights, Pleasantville, Love Actually, The Matchmaker, Muriel's Wedding, Psycho Beach Party...someone shut me up..and the worst thing is, I'm sure I've forgotten many.
Okay, short and sweet...Sex and the City, Absolutely Fabulous, and anything involving TLC, Discovery, Food Network, or HGTV...I like design shows, archaeology shows, cooking shows, and things that are spooky. Haha..
Last book I read was Suite Francaise...I'm still not sure if I liked it. Is it wrong for me to want the protagonist to have sex with the sexy German being billited in her mother-in-laws house? Hmmmph..
