Youth culture in Japan and everywhere else for that matter, completely interests me. I find I would much rather get ellegirl or teenvogue than the possibly more age appropriate versions because the clothes are just plain better and their outlooks are more world oriented. Right now, Japan is at the cutting edge of fashion, design and technology. I closely watch japanese trends to see what is up and coming. I have been known to analyse a foreign exchange student's outfit when on the subway until inevitably freakin them out, making them move to the other end of the car. If I have done this to you, my apologies, just checking out the look.

You've been marked on my visitor map!
Always a DMB (last 2 birthdays! at Fenway and 10th row) and 311 (3 or 4 times now) fan, I also love Jack Johnson, Jem, Ben Harper (just saw in concert), Kings of Lion, Tori Amos, Aimee Mann, Rachel Yamagata, some Shins, Frou Frou, Beck and many more. A good indie band always gets my affections. Of late, I have so much new music now that most songs that get shuffled up are ones I have never heard before.
I enjoy so many different kinds of movies....I can't pick. Do love Garden State, Love Actually, Wimbledon and Johnny Depp movies, well most of them. Though I will claim to be anything but girly, I have always loved movies like The Princess Bride and Ever After.
Percieved geekdom be dambed, I am in love with Buffy. Maybe my only "obsession". Get into it, read Joss Whedon's scripts, you'll be hooked. Since I am to busy to make cable worthwhile, I schedule my workouts at the Y so that I can catch my fav. shows there. Right now I have gone on a major marathon of Kenny vs. Spenny, House (Dave guest starred and was great) and of course the Office (which Whedon directed recently). Also lovin Hell's Kitchen and Nightmare Kitchens and Myth Busters. Robot Chicken, Family Guy and some South Park should round out the viewing library. Mostly, I don't have time and will watch online or through netflix.
What are those? Are they like magazines? I read magazines, no actually I look at pictures in magazines and maybe, if I'm lucky have time to read a caption or two. Would love to read a really good book when I have the time...any suggestions?Update: CEO gave me a reading assignment. The cover art is bright orange and pretty good design, so probably will actually finish it.
My parents. I know what a cliche' that is, but I really mean it. They are the strongest most patient people I have ever met and they could not have taught better morals to me and my brothers.
