About Me

It’s a dark Friday night in the city of Nashville. Though the sun has set on the city, the streets of the metropolis are booming with life. Travelers, businessmen, and locals alike pack the streets of Broadway with one objective in mind; to find good food, lots of fun, and great music. This is where you will find Shane Thomas, one of country music’s newest faces. Shane is a performer that brings the audience to the stage. He allows the energy to flow at such a high level that everyone feels like they are a part of the show. From dancing in the aisles to singing a ballad to a member of the audience, there is never a dull moment at Shane’s concert. When asked why he enjoys singing so much, he replies, “I love performing, and feeling the energy you get from the crowd when you walk on stage." Shane Thomas was born November 25, 1978 in the small town of Ashland, Kentucky. Through Shane’s early years he performed at many local talent shows and fairs. He was also an active member in the church choir and with school sports. As he grew older, Shane continued to participate in community activities. He teamed up with the D.A.R.E. program and played at many high schools around the state of Kentucky helping spread drug awareness to young teens. He also participated in several charity groups around the state promoting musical awareness and community service.Shane has always shared a love for many different types of music, but it was during his high school years at Paul G. Blazer High when he realized his passion lay in country music. He realized the meaning of country music and the art of songwriting along with the truth that lies behind each song. On the morning of June 13th 1995 Shane’s life came to a screeching halt as he was involved in a car wreck that claimed the life of his ten year old sister Courtney Margaret Thomas. Shane turned to country music to help him deal with the pain. The music struck Shane in such a way, he knew that that was what he was going to pursue as a career. He wanted to bring the healing power of the music to others who had dealt with similar tragedies. In May of 2005, Shane Thomas received the call the he had always dreamed about. He was asked to perform in front of a sold out crowd at the Paramount Arts Center in his hometown of Ashland, Kentucky with country music star Craig Morgan. The show was a true hit and Shane was loved by the crowd. Radio stations in the area began receiving calls about his music. Shane was immediately booked for another show on July 4th with headliner John Michael Montgomery. This pattern continued over the next few months as he was invited to perform shows with acts such as Little Big Town, Andy Griggs, and Aaron Tippin. In early 2006, just one year after his first major show, Shane felt that he was ready to actively begin pursuing his dream of becoming a country music artist. He knew that if he did not make the move now then he would never leave Kentucky. So, in May of 2006, Shane packed his bags, kissed his family goodbye, and headed for Tennessee.Shane now performs regularly at Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge where you can catch one of his energetic heart throbbing shows five nights a week. Shane Thomas is just a good ole boy that likes to have a good time and give his fans the best show they have ever seen. When you ask Shane what drives him to put on such a great show, he replies “I do it for my sister Courtney Thomas who was and always will be in my heart, with all of my love, and a part of my show!”Visit Shane at www.shanethomas.com
