The Patio Doors
We are The Patio Doors; we hail from the North-East of England and are looking for the opportunity to take the country by storm with our exciting musical blend of styles and influences. We have been playing together for 3 years, and have played gigs in the North-East of England, including Richmond Live 06.
Our music sounds like no other type of music you have heard, yet it mixes elements from all of the types you have. We take influences from rock, pop, funk, grunge, metal, folk, acoustic and blues. We have best been described as progressive grunge, but you can make you own decision about that.
As a unit, The Patio Doors work together and feed off each other in an inspiring way. The rhythm section; comprised of Rytch on Bass, and Jonny on Drums, plays as if it were one entity, mixing and combining rhythms to make an interesting, layered sound with a strong groove. This provides the perfect platform for Rigz, on Vocals and Guitar, to create the icing on the cake. His heartfelt lyrics, sometimes haunting, always powerful voice and offbeat lead lines contrast and connect with the bass and drums to make The Patio Doors the most interesting band you have yet to see. . .
Live, The Patio Doors are an explosion of energy waiting to take your breath away; each member seeming taken over by the music. Their catchy songs have a beat that makes you want to dance as if no-one was watching.
We have the passion and potential to be a truly brilliant band, all we need is the opportunity . . .
