About Me

Tasita was born in London, England and has been singing since she was a child. Singing has always been something she loved and from the tender age of 8 she always knew that she wanted to sing.

Tasita has come a long way from small beginnings to perform in TV productions for BBC3, ITV and even on LIVE 8 with MADONNA. Performing on Top of the Pops with Girls Aloud, performing with the London Community Gospel Choir, Singing at the Celebrity wedding of Peter Andre and Jordan, and she has also performed with Citizen K. More recently singing Backing Vocals for the Amazing "Roy Ayers" also with Bah Samba at the Southport Weekender 40th Birthday
Tasita is currently working with the hugely talented band Reel People performing at various venues such as Jazz Cafe & the Legendary venue RONNIE SCOTTS and has toured with them to Japan & Hong Kong. Whilst in Japan Tasita has also collaborated with Japanese Producer YUKIHIRO FUKOTOMI, the track "Let Yourself Be Free" can be heard on the Inspirations compilation album.

More recently Tasita has also been fortunate to have toured Europe with the amazing band Kyoto Jazz Massive from Japan, and has performed with them at the Tokyo Crossover Jazz Festival, check out the video link on this page. Tasita is also performing as the Lead singer with the Max Sedgley's Band, Max Sedgley & The Shoots , and has been writing and performing with Sunlight Square .

Tasita has also collaborated with the successful Soulful House Duo COPYRIGHT PRODUCTIONS, on the Track "Release Yourself" which was released in 2004 and she also provided the vocal talents on the "Essence of Life" track released in the summer of 2005. WE CAN RISE is Tasita's current release with Copyright Productions, the track has been making waves in Europe, Tasita has been performing the track in many venues worldwide in venues such as Pacha in Ibiza. Look out for more future releases this year with Tasita & Copyright!

Some of Tasita's other credits include:

- Performing at the Royal Albert Hall Charity Concert for Darfur Backing vocals for: Mick Hutnall, Chrissie Hines, Jocelyn Brown and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, aired live on Smooth FM.- Hong Kong & Japan Tour with REEL PEOPLE, performing at The Tokyo Jazz Festival, Motion Blue, & Blue Note Jazz clubs.

- Performing on ITV 1's first Show "HALL OF FAME" in 2005

- Performing the wedding March at Peter Andre & Jordan's Celebrity Wedding

- Backing Vocals for the band PLACEBO

- Performance for Comic Relief at the Adelphi Theatre.

Tasita's vocal talents can also be heard on several recordings for various songwriters as lead and backing vocalist on many recordings covering various musical genres. For more information regarding bookings for sessions send an e-mail via myspace.
