An ever growing group of aspiring designers, models, musicians, and other truly creative individuals are aware not of "fashion" itself, [which is no more than second-hand creative expressions funneled through corporate boardrooms], but of their own creativity and the importance of such...pure creativity offers a taste of freedom.
Everyone is their own designer. Think: In the mainstream, cutting-edge artistic talent is harnessed to persuade the public to work hard in order to pay vast sums for plastic Prada sunglasses or blue jeans with an Armani Exchange label...Ordinary people are taught to think that their lives could be better if they owned such products. People are fed the same designs over and over-flattening culture into blandness. Fashion has become bastardized. It is a transformation of high art into mass money.
