About Me

It has been said that if you want someone to believe your lies, set them to music. The Lie Society is the artistic front for a subversive secret society, built on the Victorian tradition, but strongly influenced by counter-cultural writers ranging from the ancient Greeks, through Voltaire, the libertines, David Hume and the Scottish Enlightenment, and the Bohemians. Musically, The Lie Society play a Brit-Pop influenced Indie-Rock, emphasizing the importance of melody, and doing everything they can to make you dance. Being a secret society, they obviously have a secret social agenda; but of course, being a secret society, they can't tell you what it is. Sneak out of the house and join us.
