E.G.Z. SON OF THE CITY

E.G.Z was born on March 20, 1980. Raised in a neighborhood called Barrio Sancudo, one of the first neighborhoods in Abilene, Tx. His interest in music began at the age of 14. He started off with writing poems. This lead him off into expressing himself with music. His first single called My Destiny was produce by EGZ himself. My Destiny was then played on Star 106.3 by Dj C-Dog. He then started producing and engineering for other local artist in the laundry room of his parents house. Soon to come was his first album, The Grind Mode, in March of 2004. The Grind Mode was produced by EGZ and D-Ice. The two were known as Dirty Beats Inc. Although many projects and groups were brought to his attention, he still maintained to be a solo artist. He has had many performances Tx's wide. He has also performed in Acuna, Coahuila Mexico being one of the first artists to perform in the clubs. Every year he is invited back. He is now working on his sophmore album called Son of The City, produced by Rawle Turner, Taylor Moore, Choppalock, and EGZ. This album will be released in late 2007.
