George has been spinning tunes for some six years now and has always been interested in the more Soulful side of House Music. He first became aware of house around the age of fourteen through his older sister, who was a regular to the afterparty scene of clubs like Frog and Nightgown, Pleasure Playground at the Arches and the early Bobby & Steve Garage City partys at club Koo. By the time he was sixteen he purchased a set of decks (Soundlab belt drives!) and started playing at house partys for friends.
At the age of eighteen he started going to Garage City, which was then being held at Bar Rumba. Straight away he was amazed with the atmosphere created by uplifting vocals, soaring melodies and the deeper, dubbier tracks spun by Bobby & Steve and the Zoo Groove team. So from then on he was hooked and started to play at minor clubs and bars in South and Central London and some low-key pirate radio stations gaining experiance all the while.
By the time he was twenty he managed to secure a slot on the now defunkt House station Upfront 96.1fm and was playing regularly at the Glasshouse, which has also closed down. To date he has spun at clubs such as Turnmills, Meet, Nylon, Sin (formely Rouge) and the Yacht Club as well as a whole host of bars and smaller venues.
Currently George is part of the Euphoric House Collective playing at their popular London City Soul parties and hosts 'The Good Groove Sessions' Saturday's 6-8 pm on House FM with fellow EHC member Randy J. Longer term George is interested in meeting like minded people to produce records and start promotions.
