lord of the rings trilogy, dark tower series, sword of truth series, wheel of time series, the drizzt series, hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy, the amber series, anything by chuck palahniuk (even though haunted wasnt that great), most of philip k dick's novels, the dune books, anything by hp lovecraft, pretty much anything by arthur c clark. and more that i cant bother to think of.
