Hmm, I'm a pretty big fan of sleeping.Other likes:Mashed potatoes, Johnny Cash's version of "Hurt", music and movies that make me cry, Foamy, roller coasters, fair food, tea and cigarettes, plants (even though they tend to die around me), my friends (most of the time), thunder storms, theater, people with cool foreign accents, In-N-Out Burger, SoCal (native land of my youth), finding out that I still have money in my checking account, dinner with friends, people that think outside the box, photography, modeling, art, jeans and tee shirts, burgers, the smell of the ocean and the grit it leaves on my skin, and you're pretty cool too. I love that I don't tan, you can keep your skin cancer and premature wrinkles. I love to read. I've been reading since I was four...that's right, I'm very nearly the smartest person you know...lol. Poetry by Anna Akhmatova and Sylvia Plath really melts my butter. Black ink pens and lots of paper, because I'm a masochist still waiting for my muse. I am intensely proud of my Irish heritage, just like every other American with a drop of Irish in their blood. And, yes, I'm very well aware that Ireland probably hates me. I'm okay with that.
Anyone who can stimulate my mind.
Tori Amos (her earlier work more than her current), Johnny Cash, Bright Eyes, Elliot Smith, Counting Crows, Bad Religion, NIN, Marilyn Manson, Cheap Trick (partly just because I love that name), me singing in the shower, Broadway musicals, most music from the 30's and 40's (just love the Big Band stuff), classical (Beethoven much, Mozart not so much), the Doors, Coldplay, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, the Pogues, Bif Naked...there's a bunch of other stuff that I just love, but I have a terrible memory when it comes to bands...grrrrrr.
Currently, my new favorite movie is Secretary. If you've seen it you understand why, if not please do yourself a favor and watch it. The Boondock Saints. It's just one of those movies you can watch over and over and over and over and ... well you get the general idea. The Princess Bride, Monty Python and the Search for the Holy Grail, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Princess and the Warrior (fantastic German film), Slither, Nacho Libre. I love dark comedy, drama, period epics, horror, sci-fi, well I guess basically any and all categories.
Yeah, I don't have cable right now, so I don't watch too much TV. Most of it is shit anyway. ******** Update: I now live in a house that has satellite, and I still don't watch much TV. *********
"Lamb" by Christopher Moore. It is a fanastic novel and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a good laugh. Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake series. "The Satanic Bible." Definate must-read. Think outside the box, kiddies, or don't bother thinking at all.
I am my own hero, my own god, and my own devil.
