If you thought of Stockton, CA, the last thing you would think about is a metal core band. Awakened By Dreams hopes to change that. ABD blends melodic rock with metal and hardcore; to please any fan of As I Lay Dying, Killswitch Engage, or Caliban. Formed in late 2005, the band hit the scene hard, playing shows anywhere and at anytime they could. Shortly after, they began work on their debut E.P. ..Sanity Is Only So Far Away... The band released the E.P. themselves hoping to get a break. Soon, many promoters caught wind of the music and began booking them with bands such as: Drop Dead, Gorgeous, The Human Abstract, Scars of Tomorrow, and Calico System. In the past year ABD have solidified their line up, tightened their live show, and written material for a new E.P to be released in early spring 2007. The band has the goal of playing 150+ shows in the New Year. It is a tough task, but they have all made music their career and plan on working as hard as possible to achieve success. Tour ready and soon to be road bound, Awakened By Dreams looks to take the country by storm
