Libertarian politics, camping, hiking, vegetarianism, feeling the grass in-between bare toes (i'm such a hippie!), country dancing (and partly redneck!), thoughtful conversation, laughing and drinking with friends, buddhist philosophy and all esoteric religious thought for that matter, environmental ethics and practice, and much much more.
Anyone with optimism, humble intelligence, creativity, LOVERS OF THE OUTDOORS, and anyone who can teach me something new or turn me onto something more intriguing than what I've already found. Oh yeah - and RON PAUL supporters!!!
Jack Johnson, Donovan Frankenreiter, Slightly Stoopid, The Killers, Led Zeppelin, Ghostland Observatory, Sublime, Jah Roots, The Strokes, Brett Dennen, Muse, Blue October, Tool, OLD Metallica, George Strait (there's that redneck again!), The Beatles, Aesop Rock, Pink Floyd, Dwight Yoakam, Atmosphere, U2, The Toadies, Dinosaur Jr., Del the Funky Homosapien, Bob Marley, The Smashing Pumpkins, Creedence Clearwater Revival, John Lennon (solo), Jimi Hendrix, Fiona Apple, and lots of others!!
Hmmm... I've been watching mostly documentaries lately but I like cheesy chick-flicks like The Notebook (I love that movie!) and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Just saw Superbad (which was f-ing hilarious!) and of course The 40-year-old Virgin was awesome. Other good ones are Donnie Darko, most all Tarantino flicks, and most zombie movies!
Currently only static appears when I turn on the television - I don't even have basic channels (by choice). Really just not sure whats on the tube these days: (
It seems that my face is always in a textbook lately but when I do get a chance to read for pleasure I usually dig into some obscure book I find at Half-Price Books. The last one was about environmental politics and the one before was about liberation theology. I also really enjoy reading Cheri Huber (buddhist practice), Edward Abbey, investigative journalism books like Fast-Food Nation, Kurt Vonnegut, cookbooks, and the labels on pretty much all consumer goods!
Currently my biggest hero is RON PAUL for having the courage to speak the truth even when it seems like the truth is unpopular or too radical. Fortunately, his message of FREEDOM is gaining more and more popularity as Americans begin to WAKE UP to the deceit our govt. has shoved at us the past seven years.
