About Me

"[I] ought to be in the United Nations, man."
--My boss, regarding some phrase I wrote in a story and some phone call I handled delicately. Apparently, I'm the office diplomat.
I am worth $2,330,710 on HumanForSale.com

You're an Anteater!
Long a proponent of the protein-laden health benefits of eating insects, you are considered a bit of an oddball by your peers. Rather than being ashamed of your big nose, you've decided to highlight for your friends the various uses that such a nose can have. This clever adaptation has done more to distance yourself from others than really warm their hearts to you. At least you'll always be loved in Irvine.

Sometimes, it seems like there really isn't anything to worry about. Sometimes, it seems like I'm never gonna have it together. Most of the time, it's somewhere in between. I'm back in my hometown after a couple of stints away, but I've got plans to fix that.

I write -- songs, stories, newspaper articles, essays, "blogs." Whatever I end up doing in the years to come, I plan to keep the writing up. I hope to end up with a body of work that will survive longer than I will.

I want to see lots of places I haven't seen yet, and I want to stay longer in a few places I have.

My Interests

Music. Books. Learning French. Learning Japanese (slowly). Sports, more and more: I like watching baseball, rugby, soccer and ice hockey. Traveling, which I do as much as I can afford (in dollars and days off). Photography.

I'd like to meet:

Those ready to rock and/or roll.
