THE LIGHTS OUT

Hit the drink and swim toward the lights out.

About Me

NEWS: The Lights Out have been busy, busy bees this last month. We're right smack dab in the middle of a February residency at the Abbey Lounge every Tuesday, plus you can check us out at the Cantab in Cambridge this Saturday the 16th. And if you can't make a show, or even if you can, you can also see us perform on Fox Morning News this February 19.
There's also five more songs currently percolating. As always, when we finish up they'll be available for download at www.thelightsout.com. And as always, we're pretty psyched about how they're coming out! Recorded with our good friend Jason Dunn at Mad Science.
We also have a CD for sale. The Douglas Sessions '05 is available at www.cdbaby.com/thelightsout for only $10. Eleven killer tracks from the beginning days of The Lights Out, as well as a nifty shot of a chick tossing a caber on the cover. "Proto-"Lights Out, if you will.
The Lights Out began in late 2005 when Rish and Matt met in a bar and formed a band before ever playing a note together. Joined in October 2006 by Syracuse native Jesse James on drums (also before actually playing anything), The Lights Out has since been busy spreading the word around New England.
As of this writing, our sound has logically, naturally, and inexorably moved from the updated classic hard rock heard on "The Douglas Sessions '05" into some type of breakneck anthemic hard guitar indie. And now that Adam is on board, who knows what's coming next? It's going to be a hell of a lot of fun, whatever it is.
