Now, another talented minister of God has been called forward into the ministry of music and his name? Alonzo Chadwick. Possessing incredible vocal range, an anointed pen and the anointing to sing, perform and above all, minister. Alonzo has just begun to step into his own as one of the Pacific Northwest’s premier praise & worship leaders. Able to move deftly from a simmering worship song that sets the atmosphere for salvation and deliverance to an up-tempo rhythm and praise jam that creates a high-pressured praise experience, he has begun to seek out new ears and new souls to bless as he prepares to launch his career in music to the next level. At the young age of 26, Alonzo has been pursuing his interests in music since the age of 10, where he started like many other artists of today: singing his first lead and stepping into the role of lead vocalist in his church choir. Now at Salvation & Deliverance in Portland, Oregon where he serves as the Minister of Music, Alonzo has dutifully stepped into the divine destiny that God has given him. He is a true psalmist - a modern day David if you will - that sincerely has a heart for worship and to see the people of God pierce the veil and enter the Holy of Holies through deep, sincere and anointed worship. Psalmist Chadwick is a man of many talents; poet, songwriter, actor, choreographer, playwright, minister and most of all a gospel preacher. God has given him an abundance of gifts, all which he uses for His glory through his work with youth, the church and the music ministry. Having been saved at a young age, Alonzo has been through many trials and tests, which, through the Lord, he expresses and relates to others through his music. Songs such as “Voice of Deliveranceâ€, “The War Is Onâ€, “A New Gloryâ€, and “Seeking True Worshipper’s†just to name a few; it is through his heartfelt lyrics and myriad of life experiences that Alonzo is able to minister to both the young and the old in age and in their walks with God. Originally born in Nebraska, Alonzo has called the Pacific Northwest his home for the majority of his life, but he has traveled far and wide in both in ministry and music. His preaching and singing have taken him from the West Coast to the East, and from the Northern states to the Southern states. He has sung and performed with artists such as Karen Clark-Sheard, Ted & Sheri, Kim Burrell, Israel Houghton and Shawn McLemore to name a few. He also is apart of the acclaimed Church of God in Christ Music Department, where he directs and assists in the Oregon First Jurisdiction State Mass Choir. Yes, though he is young, he has just begun. Age will not play a role in how much you will be blessed by this young man of God and the awesome talent that God has portioned to him. Such earnest worship can not be denied nor ignored, and you will be touched after hearing Alonzo go forth in word and song. He is indeed a mighty man of God and an Anointed Prophet. He recently was appointed the "State Y.P.W.W. President" of Oregon First Jurisdiction. Under the Leadership of Bishop A.R. Hopkins. He serves faithfully in his local church as the Minister of Music, Youth Pastor under the Leadership of His Pastor and Spiritual Father Superintendent Bennie Moore Sr. Minister Chadwick is a firm believer that faithfulness will get you what nothing else can. As he preps his debut album, Alonzo will be seeking a word.
