showing up late and staying past close, wednesdays at roxy's, fridays at left bank, saturdays at the pink, playing loud obscure instruments, naked bagpiping (long, but entertaining story), drinking ginger beer and the sneezing that inevitably ensues, most anything in bad taste

that aerobics show that usually comes on pbs at, like, 5 in the morning where they have 3 incredibly unattractive people doing the exercises, but (and here's the catch) one of them is doing the "low effort" exercises, one of them is doing the "medium effort" routine, and the third is (wait for it...) doing the "high effort" moves. this could totally be a midwest thing though..., nova, most anything on pbs at 3 in the morning... extra points if alan alda is hosting
the stranger, ficciones, love in the time of cholera, the things they carried, walden, augustine's confessions, chip kidd: book one: work: 1986-2006, the art of looking sideways, visual explanations: images and quantities, evidence and narrative, jimmy corrigan: the smartest kid on earth, mythology (hamilton), the little prince, borstal boy, anything kafka, anything yeats, anything emerson, anything rilke, the talking phone book, mcsweeney's, schott's original miscellany, any decent poetry anthology
