Black Adder and Peter Pan. Oh wait, am I supposed to put down non-fictional people? Anyone who can make me laugh; people who understand that the letter "Z" does not need to be added to words in order to make them "hipper" ie "Hizzy". Words--are not "hip"; people are hip. Stop adulterating them in order to distract us from your "North-Pole-Sean-John-Wannabe" attire and those rims that cost more than your car.
what? do you want a list? What good does knowing that I like When Harry Met Sally do for you? I'll make this simple, like any red blooded American I like movies where we win and the bad guys die. Like any female I like overly simplified chick flicks where everyone ends up happy. I do not like chick flicks where one of the two protagonists dies. I don't care how well shot the movie is, or how great the acting is, if someone dies, I think it is a shitty movie. Case in point: Sweet November--quite possibly the worst excuse for a chick flick...ever. And of course, like any English major nerd I like movies like Snatch, Life is Beautiful, and classics such as Citizen Kane and Casablanca.
Someday I'm going to write one. Characters will unmistakably close to the nutcases that I deal with on a daily baises. Basically, if I know you...be prepared to be shamelessly exploited. I read "Self Reliance" by Emerson every time I feel sad to remind me how much empowerment can change my attitude.
I am a fan of the underdog; however, you have to remember that at somepoint, the underdog has to win. Otherwise, they are just amont the fallen, the defeated. Always fight to win, even if it is just Scrabble. Hero number two: The man who invented sliced bread because my mom always seems to talk about things in reference to him, "this is better than sliced bread!" and my mom is one smart lady. Not sure why it took so long to pre-cut bread, but it obviously impacted her life.
