Prairie born and raised, the music of Kevin Mitchell is now coming out on the west coast of Canada. 2006 marks the year of Kevins debut album All The Way hits the road across B.C. and Canada. After years of fronting various Folk/Roots Dance bands, Kevin has taken some time to launch his solo career. Kevin writes, sings, and plays songs with guitar, mandolin, and harmonicas, in the vein of Country meets Roots. Combine that with a strong sense of the blues and you get driving fence-smashing rhythms that can stop on a dime. A finger picking style that plays the band. Kevin's music is best experienced live, with a sense of rhythm and groove in his performance, that tickles the musical soul within.
As a sideman on guitar and mandolin, Kevin has performed with a wide variety of artists that include Ken Hamm, Willie P Bennett, Michelle Shocked, Corinne West, Gayle Ferguson, Fishead Stew, Pancho & Sal, Valdy, Birgit, and many more!
