Formed in Sunway College in August 2005, the original idea was to form an acoustic band. The original lineup was Shameem, Roy, Amir and Tom (spanish guitar sessionist). Siva came into the picture when Tom quit the band in early 2006 for unknown reasons. The different influences in music didn't stop us from uniting together and making quality music. Roy is very much influenced in black metal and goth as well as brushes of jazz and psychadelic, Shameem is more of the blues, funk, and classic rock force in the band, Amir loves punk rock and hardcore, and Siva is mainly influenced in vintage rock and reggae. All of us experimented with various genres of music and fused them to create our own sound, hence, The Roystein Experience.
