I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Ours is a colorful and diversified world. Also a complex one.
- Li Peng

I yam what I yam. - Popeye

I am, I said.
Actually, Neil Diamond said it, but it works for me, too.

I have always had diverse interests. When I was three, I wanted to be a cowboy. At five, I wanted to be a nurse until I witnessed my Mom getting a shot. At eight, I knew I wanted to act, sing and write, among other aspirations. Happily, I've made the majority of my dreams a reality. Some of my singing work is on the MP3 player and video. Give 'em a click!
I'm still working on the cowboy thing. :)

My Interests

acting, directing, singing, writing, poetry, music, talking with people from all walks of life, laughter, health and fitness, tennis, walking / hiking / jogging, nature's beauty, celebrity gossip (sometimes), inspirational and motivational stories from real life, taking pictures of the world and people around me.

I'd like to meet:

"If you must tell me your opinions, tell me what you believe in. I have plenty of doubts of my own." - Johann Goethe

Believers. Whatever you believe, or whatever you believe in, be steadfast and passionate in that belief.
Creatives. Self-actualizers. Plain ole down to earth peeps. Old friends not forgotten, even if the memory has dimmed.

Dreams pass into the reality of action. From the actions stems the dream again; and this interdependence produces the highest form of living.” ~Anais Nin

Music:

“Words make you think a thought. Music makes you feel a feeling. A song makes you feel a thought.” - E.Y. Harburg

Regardless of genre, if a song resonates with me lyrically, musically or both, I enjoy it. That said, I know it's only rock and roll, but I like it, like it, yes, I do.

If a picture paints a thousand words, how many words does a video paint?

Movies:

I confess, I dig teeny bopper / chick flicks like "Bring it On", "Legally Blonde", "13 Going on 30", "Just Like Heaven". They're simply fun.
Long time favorites outside the tb/cf genre (and my favorite quotes from each):
"Tombstone" - Val Kilmer is awesome as Doc Holliday

"I'm your huckleberry."

"Legends of the Fall" - Brad Pitt is amazing as Tristan

"Some people hear their own inner voices with great clearness and they live by what they hear. Such people become crazy, or they become legends."
"Bram Stoker's Dracula" - Gary Oldman rocks

"I have crossed oceans of time to find you."
"Young Frankenstein" - love Gene Wilder

"Igor, would you mind telling me whose brain I did put in?"
"Abby someone."
"Abby who?"
"Abby ... Normal"

Television:

On my own volition, I don't watch tv that much. When I do watch, I enjoy Curb Your Enthusiasm and Entourage on HBO. Judge Judy and Judge Marilyn Milian from People's Court both rock, and I like Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU.

Clean House, Clean Sweep, any show with the word "clean" in the title. They nurture my inner professional organizer.

Books:

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho and In-Style magazine. Disparate, and technically, one is not a book, but I'd say they're both Must Reads.

Mindgarden Volume I, a wonderful book of poetry written by my boyfriend, Paul A. Galloway. The cover concept/design are by me. Click on the book cover to check out my website design ... and order the book! :)

Heroes:

My Mom. I am inspired by her EVERY SINGLE DAY.

My Blog

Tony Bennett

My boyfriend, Paul, took me and his Mom to see Tony Bennett this past Sunday night at the Santa Barbara Bowl.  I'll be honest, at first, I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy it - while I have an ap...
