MY FIRST RECORD...1981.
Music is a form of self expression and is a very significant part of who I am. I was born in Orlando and raised by a very traditional Colombian family that have greatly influenced me in so many ways.
Towards the end of 1998, I was introduced to the electronic music scene and began collecting all kinds of electronic music on vinyl. I've attended numerous events throughout Florida meeting so many people and witnessing many musical acts that have now become influences in my own music. From house parties to clubs downtown, I've rocked out my sounds and enjoyed it very much. I mixed my first two records in 1999 at a house party. Several venues here in Orlando have hosted my thick and trancy imported breakbeat and house such as Icon, the Roxy, the Grotto, Eli's Crib, Alpha Bar, Rm. 39, the Blue Room, AKA Lounge, and the Peacock Room. I've also thrown down at numerous house parties, music festivals, and special events, including Rise in 2000 and Imagination II in 2004.
My first residency was in 2002 @ the Haven Lounge. I played Nu-School breaks every Thursday night with Dj PK. After two months or so, the promoter relocated to the Alpha Bar in Downtown Orlando where I played Nu-School Breaks, Intelligent Breakbeat, and Progressive House alongside one of Orlando's most respected Drum 'n Bass djs, Circle K. For about a year, we played every Wednesday for a fetish night called "Lush" brought to you by AntiBabe Inc.
As the end of 2004 approached, I became interested in playing Drum 'n Bass and in 2005 began to impress the crowds with my rhythmic yet banging DnB funk. The first time I ever played out Drum 'n Bass at a venue was at one of my own events at Cafe Noir. Later On, Eli's Crib, WPRK Rollins College Radio, Drop Shop Radio, Karma Korner, Screamers, SKY 60, Suite B, The Peacock Room, Crooked Bayou, the Cuban Club in Ybor City, PROTOCOL @ the Blue Room in Jacksonville, The Laundry Bar in South Beach Miami, the Crowbar in Ybor City, and TORQUE, brought to you by Jungala, have all hosted my wicked liquid drum 'n bass sounds.
Currently, I have a weekly residency on Dr0p Radio brought to you by the Drop Shop- Orlando's best record store ever. I call my radio show...Wicked Liquid Sessions... TUNE IN every Monday night from 8pm to 10pm Eastern Standard Time!!!
Aside from Drum 'n Bass, I'm also known to drop some wicked and bassey minimalesk techno sounds. In recent months, Crooked Bayou, the Peacock Room, DropRadio listeners, everyone at the BFP tent @ the Rolex 24 Hour Race, Area 57 Studios in MIAMI for WMC's Massive Music Fest, and Rain Supper Club in Daytona have all gotten a taste of my straight-beat goodness. Stay -Tuned!
My affiliates are: Bass Frequency Productions, Stoutcast, and DropRadio.
My long-term goal is to travel the world as an international dj, producer, and songwriter with a nursing degree and perhaps a residency in IBIZA ,somewhere in Spain, or somewhere cool...we'll see =) In the mean time, I'm on a quest for knowledge and enlightenment, I work full time, I go to school, I dj here and there, and I'm getting into producing my own music using Logic Pro 7, my laptop, and my M-Audio Axiom 25 midi controller. All in all, I'm a very simple person in search of good times and a happy heart.
