This photo was made at Los Angeles/Ventura County Line, CA. I wanted to study the shapes of the ocean, focusing on the lines present.
I stood at the top of the cliff on the point and pointed my Ricohflex Model VII forward. I used Ilford FP4+ at EI 64 with no filters as the sunlight was diminishing fast. My Minolta Autometer IV with Viewfinder 5 Degree gave me a reading at 4 seconds at f/16. The actual exposure was at 8 seconds at f/16 to account for reciprocity failure. The film was then developed in HC-110 dilution H (1:63) for 11 minutes using normal agitation. The negative was scanned using an Epson 4490 using Gamma 1.8. The contrast was adjusted in Adobe Photoshop CS.

I used my Canon EOS Elan 7e with the 17-40 f/4L using Fujichrome Velvia 50 at EI 40. I added a Cokin 121 also. Zone VII was metered at 2 seconds at f/16 using my Minolta Autometer IVF. The actual exposure was 4 seconds at f/16 to account for reciprocity failure. The negative was scanned on an Epson 4490 with Gamma set at 1.8. Contrast was adjusted in Adobe Photoshop CS.
