My name is Dom... I currently live in Melbourne... I like to play music, listen to music, tour, create and view art, skate, surf, trek and travel.... here's a short history lesson:
I've being playing music since age 12.... which was when I got my hands on my first drumkit, since then I can't remember a day I haven't played drums or some kind of percussive instrument. I began formal lessons at age 14 at the Coffs Harbour conservatorium learning mainly jazz, I left the con and took on my own direction and learning curves by playing in several bands throughout high school. By the age of 16 I was teaching drums and percussion at the local drum shop in Coffs Harbour, I stayed there for a year before heading off to study world music for a year.. after that I decided I should move to a bigger city where I had more opportunity as a musician and in 2002 I joined forces with a band called Elephant Mojo in Brisbane and we began writing and recording music.
We (the band) decided to make a move to Melbourne in early 2006 to surround ourselves with a different environment to record our debut album..... I am also going to begin studying Tabla here in Melbourne...... I'm going to buy a new skate board in Melbourne also, and possibly a bush bike with big chopper styled handle bars... ok thanks... see ya xo
