In 2005, Sonia left MuchMusic to work on SunTV's Echo - the channels premiere multi-ethnic biography series. The program highlighted diverse Torontionians making a difference. Recently, Sonia made the move to London where she has been freelancing in entertainment and factual programming for various production companies and broadcasters including Endemol and BBC.
