About Me

After forming in 1994, they released two albums on crank! a record company, The Power Of Failing (1995) and End Serenading (1998). They broke up shortly after the release of End Serenading. Although similar to pioneers Sunny Day Real Estate, in that they both shared a love for and in fact defined the poppier conventions in the emo music style, Mineral definitely stands by itself as an important band in the development of the "second wave" of emo, more melodic and ethereal than the more hardcore-sound previously associated with emo.
