I lost my mother to Breast Cancer on August 10th, 2005. I made this website as a memorial to her. Breast Cancer runs in my family (my grandmother, my mother, and one of my aunts was also diagnosed). I feel that it is important to make others aware and to urge people to get checked. Make the 10th of each month a mammogram day. The survival rate is increasingly growing everyday, yet there is no cure. As much as I hate to admit I am one of the ones who's loved ones lost that battle, but if anything her death brings awareness to others she did not die in vain. Everyone no matter how old/young, race, and sex needs to get checked and know her/his body. Yes guys, the numbers of men getting it are ever increasing. Knowing one's body and catching it early seems to be the only thing that gets us ahead toward stopping it.
