DEN ON THE I-10, aka Dennis MacCoumber

Kauai Mature Guy

About Me

Been living on Kauai these past five years; got here as soon as I could. Where else could I ride my Ducati at 11 pm in a t-shirt and not freeze? But working as a volunteer at the island community radio station has really been fun. Plus an opportunity to play music by Artists who are not too commercial.

I do the "Den on the I-10" show with Peter Cameron Tuesdays at 10 pm on KKCR . Featuring music from Artists who have roots from along Interstate Ten; the road that goes from LA to Jacksonville, FL.

An area where I visited and spent time the many years I went to sea on ships in the Merchant Marine.

Here is a link to one of the show's supporters that you may find fun to visit: Jimmy's Roadside Cafe. Open the Musicians page to find a list of the Artists who get regular airplay on the"Den on the I-10" show

My Interests

Books, Music, riding motorcycles, talking politics, exploring Kauai on foot.
Reading the comics everyday, in the newspaper and going .. for the non-seqitur observations of Zippy the Pinhead , created by one of my fave toonists Bill Griffith.

I'd like to meet:

People that were once in my life, but through my moving around and going to sea we've lost touch with each other. And interesting people, whether you be local, or a visitor to Kauai, and anyone that sailed in the Merchant Marine now living in "paradise".
