can you believe that the theory of real closed fields is decidable?! unbelievable, but true. here is the beautiful result of some quantifier elimination via partial cylindrical algebraic decomposition for your enjoyment. a fun exercise: try and discern a first-order statement in RCF from which this constraint (with only free variables remaining) might have originated! (hint: kind variable naming here makes one harken back to something quite familiar... and i would naturally consider any super-statement equivalent to this quantifier free matrix in plain first order logic to be cheating!):
mmm mmm suga.
