About Me

I think that life is supposed to be a little too much for us to handle, because that margin of excess forces us into either creative outlets or destructive outlets. Writing songs is one of my most helpful creative outlets. My hope is that my songs would have the general effect of stimulating creativity and emotional self-connection in a listener. It can be such a relief to hear some words that represent your own feelings, but in a way that is more succinctly and poignantly put together than you could have managed. This is how my favorite songwriters and authors have affected me, and I would be pleased and humbled if I could affect a prospective listener the same way. I feel very passionately that, once you've found something that inspires love and clear-mindedness, and incorporated that into your everyday life; I feel that's when you can become part of the solution, instead of part of the problem. We're all here to contribute something, but destruction of ourselves and others is such an easy, cheap distraction. Love is fearless, and fear is loveless; so love, and don't be a little bitch about it.
