About Me

My name's Mary.
I'm 17.
I love my Jesus.
He's really all I need.
Without Him I don't even want to think of where I'd be right now.
But I have a pretty good idea...
He's really turned my life around in the last year or so.
I'm homeschooled.
I get tired of people making remarks and making me feel out of place because of it.
I do work just like everybody else.
I just don't have to put up with AS MUCH crap as everyone else does.
God called us to do it for reasons that have become very clear to me lately.
So I'm very thankful my mom chose to do it.
I'm a senior and I'm completely confused.
I'd be alot more excited about graduating if I still knew what I wanted to do after it's over with.
But God has a plan.
I play the violin.
I sing in the praise band at church with some of the best kids I know!
God also used that to help me come out of my shell alot more and get closer to Him.
I'm single and I'm perfectly fine with it.
I don't "date around" trying to find the right guy.
If I find a great guy and it seems right then yea I'll go out with him.
But I'm not gonna go through guy after guy and get a broken heart every time.
I see no point in it.
I'm pretty shy at first.
But once I feel comfortable enough around you all the shyness goes out the window.
I'm a very self-concious person.
I always wonder why I can't be skinny like the other girls I know.
Or why I can't be as pretty as them.
Or not be so shy around guys and actually have a few guy friends.
I always wonder why I don't fit in.
Satan always puts reasons into my head that I have to remind myself aren't true.
God MADE me and FASHIONED me in HIS OWN IMAGE!
He loves me just the way I am.
Whether I'm as skinny as the other girls or as beautiful or as outging as them...
He loves me just the way I am and there is no possible way I could do anything to make Him love me any more or any less than He already does!
He loves me THAT MUCH!
I'll never be able to wrap my mind around that.
But I just have to believe it.
Sure I still feel uncomfortable around the other girls and tend to believe that there's no way a guy could like me "cause I'm just not pretty enough"...
My Jesus thinks I'm beautiful and that's enough for me anyday.
Cause if He loved me enough to DIE for me...Then that all MUST be true!
Our faith in God is not a blind faith. It's not that we have become more ignorant, we've become more enlightened, but only because God Himself enlightened us. You see, we used to be just like you before God changed our hearts. We too were rebellious God haters who rejected Him and His laws. We haven't become more ignorant, we have just been shown the truth by God. He convicted us of our sins by showing us His law and showing us how we rebel against all the laws He gives. Then we realize why Jesus went to the cross, because we needed someone to save us from our sins and from God's coming wrath. We love Jesus because of what He did on the cross for us! We just want other people to know how great our God is, and we want to spare others from God's wrath. That's why we are so adimant about preaching Jesus over all other religions. We want you to know the truth so you can be saved too. However, You will only want to know Jesus once your own sin nature is exposed, which only God can do.
Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength!
We are only asked to love, to offer hope to the many hopeless. We don't get to choose the endings, but we are asked to play the rescuers. We won't solve all mysteries and our hearts will certainly break in such a vulnerable life, but it is the best way. We were made to be lovers bold in broken places, pouring ourselves out again and again until we're called home.
If we believe God's words are true, when tragedy strikes we've got to believe God has us so tightly interwoven in His care that we are instantaneously swept to heaven. God never more closely surrounds us than when He lifts us to His breast and carries us home.

God, friends, laughing, sitting for hours on end listening to my dad and his cop buddies tell their stories, stars, music, singing, church, dancing, swinging, sunsets, sunrsises, smilimg, snow, rain, cloudy days, sunny days, flowers, rainbows, new clothes, slides, animals, mountains, swimming, chocolate, country music, the color blue, fishing, fruit, the country, the occasional cute dress, smores, staying in on halloween and watching scary movies, candles, hayrides, driving the golf cart while my dad plays golf, storms, clouds, sleepovers, coloring, doodling, icees, christmas cookies, being out in the middle of nowhere, military boys, making pictures with the clouds, hide and seek, baseball, wal-mart, campfires, put-put, hugs, being sarcastic, road trips, chocolate milk, making people laugh, boy bands, jonathan taylor thomas, watching movies i haven't seen in years, mission trips...

I have a bit of an obsession with Deadliest Catch...If it's on, I'm watching it. Frasier, Reba, Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Boy Meets World, Still Standing, Everybody Loves Raymond, The Nanny, Golden Girls, Gospel Music Channel, anything on the Discovery Channel, ect...
