About Me

From June 1st - 7th, 2008, I'm bicycling in the 7th annual AIDS/LifeCycle. It's a 7-day, 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to make a world of difference in the lives of people living with HIV and AIDS. Can You Please Donate To My AIDS / LifeCycle Campaign?!http://www.aidslifecycle.org/5663=====================================================I'm a recovering-New Yorker, now living in LA, and I work in entertainment journalism (television production and Internet). I was born in Seattle, I spent the college years and the rest of my 20s in New York.
I have a wonderful boyfriend, two insane short-nosed puppy dogs, and an unhealthy addiction to my Time Warner DVR box.
In my freetime I enjoy beach volleyball, snowboarding, teaching Spinning at Equinox in West Hollywood, photography, learning a lot about real estate, & live theater.
Past hobbies include outdoor concert producing, Indo-Tibetan Buddhism, nightclubbing, travel writing, Monopoly and amateur DJ'ing.

Music:

I'm a big music fan -- particularly grooving out right now to JT, Corinne Bailey Rae, Beth Orton, Dolly Parton, Lucinda Williams, Mary J. Blige, Dave Matthews, Annie Lennox, Madonna, Prince, Journey, Pink, Gorillaz, Heart, Christina Aguilera, Dido, Fantasia, Coldplay, Junior Vasquez, Beyonce, Vivian Green, Heather Headley, Monica, Brandy, Garbage, Counting Crows, and Neil Sedaka
I'm also all about my Sirius Satellite radio!

Movies:

I fall asleep in movies -- often. I have in the recent past enjoyed: "Michael Clayton," "Transformers," "Reno 911: Miami," "Notes On A Scandal," Superbad," "Knocked Up," and "Live Free Or Die Hard," "Dreamgirls," "Hairspray," and "Bring It On" -- I like big blow 'em up Hollywood blockbusters -- none of that indie crap (that was for the college days!)

Television:

Time Warner DVR box (aka: my best friend) records the following: Heroes, Lost, Desperate Housewives, Pugly Bretty, 30 Rock, American Idol, Real Time With Bill Maher, SNL, Cold Case, South Park, The Daily Show, 60 Minutes, The Today Show, Dirty Sexy Money, Pushing Daisies, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice & Access Hollywood
Next up, I'm gonna make myself start at the beginning and learn all about "Battlestar Galactica" and "Weeds."

Books:

Don't have time to read any more ...there once was a day ... unfortunately, no more .... what happened to that Ivy league degree?!
