Modern Country & Western

About Me

Brothers Joel & Chris Mayville front this Swinging Canadian Country/Rockabilly act known as The Silvertones. Formed back in 1997, this band has been pounding out that infectious Jump'n Country music styles for close to 10 years. They've played at numerious festivals like the Montreal Rockabilly fest and The Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekender where they were honored to have the great Dave Gonzalez of THE PALADINS / HACIENDA BROTHERS come up on stage and play three numbers with the band...what a thrill! There've been a whack of showcases played including three consecutive years at NxNE (North By Northeast) Fest in Toronto. They've opened for such great acts like BILL KIRCHEN, BIG SANDY & HIS FLY-RITE BOYS and played at SUN recording artist JACK EARLS 70th Birthday party In Detroit MI.Nowadays Chris & Joel, along with partner and guitar doctor, Jay Swatman, have opened up TECUMSEH MUSIC CENTRE (www.tecumsehmusic.com), our areas hottest new music store, and that's been keep'n 'em purdy busy. The band is still pump'n and ready to go when there's a gig to play, so if ya got a gig just a holler! ____Be sure to check out our other MY SPACE site where we have four (Yup, that's 4!) other numbers for your listening pleasure, it's at: http://www.myspace.com/silvertonescanada.
