About Me

Making Me Wonder - Live @ The Magic Bag LIME REGAL
Making Me Wonder EP Making Me Wonder was recorded and engineered by Lime Regal at Rustbelt Studios in Royal Oak, Michigan. Steve Stetson, Lime Regal’s drummer, works at the studio part-time and was able to bring the group in during off hours to record. “We had some great times recording in the middle of the night,” Stetson said. “Engineering and producing the album ourselves was difficult but rewarding. Knowing that everything heard on this EP is a direct result of the hard work we put in is a great feeling.”Making Me Wonder is a broad musical experience packed into a short six-song EP, giving the listener a chance to experience loud driving rock and roll anthems like 100 MPH, and soft jazz-inspired ballads like Four Leaf Clover. The title-track Making Me Wonder, the album’s centerpiece, begins like an alt-rock electro-pop piece and quickly evolves into an explosively tight riff-driven rock song. Written about the group’s hometown city of Detroit, it brings to light the positive aspects of the city and a desire to see it come back to life. “My grandparents always would tell me about how beautiful the city used to be when they were growing up, and I want like so many others to see the city’s vitality come back,” lead-singer Nathan Abramson said. The EP was released at Lime Regal's CD release performance at The Magic Bag in Ferndale, Michigan on Friday, August 24th. Press & Album Reviews"Settling on a 6 song EP, Lime Regal has accomplished what many fail at with twice as many songs; that is to record an exceptionally well-produced and packaged CD that is shelf ready! From the opening track, Lime Regal delivers more hooks than Muhammad Ali, daring you to roll down the window with their rock and roll anthem 100 MPH, a wildly infectious tune that should be spinning nationwide... [more...] " - Detroit Rock Review, January 14, 2008"Though I never received the disc I was told to expect from Lime Regal, I was so anxious to get my ears on it I ponied up the cash and downloaded it from iTunes.Lime Regal's songs have a forward momentum and an irrepressible optimism that I imagine comes from looking at the world through a prism of colored glass - a nice bottle-green I'm thinking. It's a refreshing vibe for a world gone bad... [more...] " - MichiganBands.com, December 11, 2007"A mix between the lighter side of classic rock and solid pop songwriting. I wasn’t too sure how take this until just the second listen, where I could remember the melodies for each song. Good songwriting is good songwriting no matter what the genre. Check it out." - Buzzgrinder.com, October 10, 2007Go and Do Michigan - Featured Artist - GoAndDoMichigan.com, September, 2007"There is nothing more dangerous than an upbeat tempo, catchy lyrics and an unknown artist. "Making Me Wonder" by the up-and-coming Lime Regal has all the elements to make this album a complete knockout. Each track runs smoothly from one to the other which leaves you, as a listener, wondering when one great song ends and the other starts. The upbeat yet gentle sounds of the title track "Making Me Wonder" and "Saturday Night" really get your feet tapping and your body relaxing. Overall, this is an easy album to listen to and although it runs short at only six tracks for a total of 20 minutes, it is definitely worth the time and money." (4 Flames) - The Chicago Flame, September 17, 2007The Indies: High Definition Has No Static At All - Billboard Magazine, September 15, 2007Interview with Lime Regal - TheDetroiter.com, September 13, 2007"The boys hit the stage with fire in their eyes and that transpired through their melodic early 70's sound. You can't help but notice a distinct sound from Nate Abramson's voice backed by the unique sound behind him and not compare it to Jon Anderson and the band Yes. Brian Carney with the funky in your face bass sound blends well with the experimental heavy guitar riffs from Ross Trinkaus. The solid ever changing tempo backbeat from drummer Steve Stetson combined with Abramson's presence as he spits out the bands fine original tunes ensure packed venues now and in the future for LIME REGAL." - Tommy Morris, DetroitCity.com, August 27, 2007Detroit Rock on Menu at Rick's Music Cafe - Toledo Blade, August 22, 2007"You'll want to check these guys out."- Mitch, Michiganbands.com, August 13, 2007Lime Regal: Band of the Month - RIFF2 HD Radio, August 1, 2007"Many days after mastering the EP, and after working on several other projects, I was still singing the Lime Regal songs. This is a band that knows how to write a hook!"- Jim Kissling, TemperMill Studios, August 1, 2007"Since we last checked in with local rockin' up-and-comers Lime Regal, they've cleaned up their sound - just a little bit - and embraced their pop leanings (in a good way). Their new disc... finds the boys in top form, ready to be discovered by radio DJs and major label A&R people. Best to catch them now, because Lime Regal's big rock anthems were meant to fill stadiums, just as their softer pop pieces are surely destined for Top 40 radio." - Real Detroit Weekly, May 23, 2007"Crunching big, loud riff-y blues rock with a sort of trippy, kinda angry hippie vibe a la post-Houses Zeppelin or most of The Black Crowes' catalog, Lime Regal could be your next favorite band. Forget about Wolfmother, go for Lime Regal's homegrown rock 'n' roll." (4 Stars) - Real Detroit Weekly, November 15, 2006 Sign Up Here For News and Tour Information
