In the mid 90s, in the wake of Grunge, the Metal movement underwent its most radical evolution to date, ushered in by a leaner, meaner crop of purist, aggressive acts in PANTERA, MACHINE HEAD, BIOHAZARD, LIFE OF AGONY, PRONG and SLIPKNOT as Thrash fused with Hardcore and Death Metal. As the millennium dawned this new found power exploded not only onto the US touring circuit, but also the national album charts giving rise to a new generation of offshoots as Screamo, Emocore and Metalcore. In traditional Rockdetector style executive editor Garry Sharpe–Young, author of 14 Rock & Metal titles to date, exhaustively documents these bands in painstaking detail with extensive historical biographies, line-ups and full discographies including track lists, labels, catalogue numbers and chart positions.  Aseraphymn Tracks are debuted in the Hell’s Fables – Volume #1

by: schuldinic wehrmacht  ...Everyone needs to take note of this band because I honestly believe that they will make some waves in the underground metal scene. Aseraphymn is a sick five piece death metal band who are exceptional at their art. .. this band takes no prisoners and leaves deaf and brutalized audiences in their wake.
Excellent! 9/10

Aseraphymn demonstrated amazing technical abilities. ..Dark and menacing with no shortage of brutality. They set themselves apart from the short fallings typically found in this genre by using unique song structures, expanding the standard riffs and having a solid vocal attack. The pit was definitely on...Can't say enough how hard these guys rock. Would definitely go see them again.

DEMO REVIEW
"Nashville Rawk"
by: David Campbell
01-11-05Aseraphymn is a 5-piece,extreme metal band based in Knoxville,TN. Their demo is 4 tracks. Tracks 1 & 3 are eerie atmospheric intro's with horror movie samples.. setups for tracks 2 and 4 - "Astoreth" and "Usurper's Circle" to kick your ass! This stuff is bad-ass! They play VERY fast but they throw in lots of stops and starts and execute those with amazing precision. I know software like pro-tools can "tighten up" a band in the studio, but i doubt they even use that stuff when recording because i've seen them live and they deliever with flawless synchronization-even after swilling an ocean of booze. ..If people are trying to be death metal, they can't just play fast--they gotta play ULTRA fast! I thought of that when i popped this disc in because this stuff is FAST. We're talkin' 240 BPM,machine-gun double-bass, crazy fast. Crazy fast but tight. ..... These guy's are not just exceptional musician's but super-cool people that work around job's, family, schedule's, and bullshit so they can throw down.01-11-05
