About Me

The Aversions are playing a snotty-romantic 77 punk rock, with an early So.Cal. hardcore edge. They came from the Ashes of a crappy and legendary Quebec city garage quartet named CUTHROAT DAGGERS. They are frightening everybody since the release of their "now classic" demo "NO REST IN THE CITY" when they formed in 2001. Their intenses and unpredictables live shows and the multiple reviews in magazines got them a nice reputation. Their "Baudelaire meets Carl Perkins" kinda lyrics, their classic "Don't care" attitude, TOUCHSTONE's unmistakable howls, BOREDOM L's crispy and creepy 3 chords, SPY TAKSI' s breathless basslines, as well as MR. TAVERNIER's fast & hard skins stompin' are some of the reasons you should check them out! They are a completely DIY entity. They released themselves their self-titled LP in 2003 and a 7" EP called "BLACK ALIBI" in 2005 on their own Die in Style records. With a west coast / midwest and a France / Italia tour under their belt, be sure to catch the guys when they re gonna perform in a basement or house party near you! A new release is gonna be out soon! You can now purchase the AVERSIONS s/t LP as well as the new EP by getting directly through them "theaversions.ca" or either through the "Original Punk" Label BOMP Records or at "UNDERGROUND MEDICINE" (www.undergroundmedicine.com)
