B.A.Y. (Bay Area Youngstas) and independent record label Rapshack Records stand strong as a growing product of the Bay Area music scene. From their hometown of Vallejo, California, B.A.Y. consists of members TY THA ARTIST, Junco G., JustinKase, Shye Boss, and Smith Andrews. Each group member provides their own style of rapping, producing, or singing soulfully. Also as the founders of an independent record label, B.A.Y. possesses the self-sufficient, entrepreneurial qualities needed for success in the music industry.Since 2002, B.A.Y. has released two mixtapes (“Shoes Strapped Tight/All Jokes Aside†and “Crack Music: The Mixdisc†along with two fully self-produced albums (“Bay Area Youngstas†and “GRIND: Intent 2 Sellâ€). Selling their music in the streets, at shows, in records stores and over the internet, B.A.Y. is increasingly adding more fans to their fanbase each day. Their upcoming release, “GRIND: Intent 2 Sell†is self-produced by BeatDoc Beats and includes guest appearances by Mistah F.A.B. from THIZZ ENT., Lay Low of Koch Rec., and J.Gib from Take-Ova Ent. Promotion for their latest release includes flyers, posters, and commercial spots on Comcast local telecast channels BET and MTV.
