To get something you never had, you have to do something you have never done...

About Me

What about me......smart, funny, stubborn, loyal, passionate, righteous, honest, exploring, experimental, fearless, compassionate, curious.I have been a massage therapist for 13 yrs. My clients range from 3 yr olds to professional athletes to local news media to Hospice patients. I do not take clients thru MySpace so please do not inquire.I grew up in Texas, got certified for massage in Boston and now live in St Louis. For me, life is all one enormous lesson. People and pain are here to teach who we are in the face of chaos. Who we choose to be creates our world. Taking responsibility for it requires integrity and strength. Who I have been known to be is crazy....these days, I am putting something a little more productive in the space....crazy has not been working. Spend a little too much time up in my head...which is a dangerous place to be all alone. My life is about to change....my friends, my goals, my direction...my life. I don't have to tolerate people who are not willing to look at who they are, who they are being in every moment and being honest with it no matter how ugly it gets. This ability is transforming. I am all about spending life out on the skinny branch on a windy day, challenging, scaring, exciting, testing all my limits. click image

My Interests

Travel, languages, history, cultures, people, art, brilliant minds, moxy, opinions, beauty (which is relative), old people (they KNOW we are going to die), being in the inquiry of everything. Tons of reading. My dream room is a library...most women think of a kitchen...books and libraries.....I am surrounded by books. Went to Ethiopia on a medical mission. Changed my life. We saw leprosy, scabies, malnutrition, cancer....these people are amazing. We would never see this here in the States. I got how lucky we are. Just to turn on the faucet to brush my teeth is a gift. Pearls spilling out of the faucet. I will never take it for granted again. I can't. I stepped into another realm. Another world most never see. Going back in the fall. I am in AWE of these people. My next fluffy trip will be Prague....because I read The Unbearable Lightness of Being 20 yrs ago. Went to Spain and her people are beautiful. Skydiving twice...and I want to go down with sharks. Taking chances. Jumping blindly into fear with no fear. I like being surrounded by things I do not understand. Keeps my mind flowing and alive.

I'd like to meet:

Dead ones....Queen Elizabeth ( for her strength in the face of NO AGREEMENT ), Mother Theresa ( for her ability to be focused and devoted ), Jackie Kennedy ( for her intelligence, grace and style), Rod Serling ( fucking brilliant, ever listen to this man speak??? ) Amazing!! For those who I would like to meet with life still in them.....JENNA JAMISON!!! Camille Paglia...

Music:

All over the place. Went to high school with Pantera and supported them, but never a huge listener of the music. I remember listening to them at their house in the living room before anyone knew who they were. Sad when Dimebag died. I am a little spread out in this area... Angelique Kidjo, Morphine, Dixie Chicks, T'Pau, Lou Rawls, Johnny Cash, Queen, Fleetwood Mac, Sonic Youth, Keith Urban, Janes Addiction, Stevie Wonder, Rascal Flats, Frank Sinatra, Seal, LENNY and his hot drummer chick too!!, Luther Vandross, Mystikal, Barbara Streisand, Ella Fitzgerald, Angie Stone, Anggun, Angie Martinez.....

Movies:

Fargo, Raising Arizona, Elizabeth, Grease, Fog of War, Little Voice ( best acted movie EVER!! ) Snatch, Drug Store Cowboy, Royal Tenenbaum's, The Field, Raise the Red Lantern, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Apocalypse Now, Lord of the Ring and Harry Potter, Best in Show, any documentary.

Television:

Don't watch TV - but as a kid loved the Twilight Zone....that shit is still scary today.

Ethiopia

I entered into another realm...one that assaulted my senses and all the I knew to be true. So it was when I went to Ethiopia. The poverty, disease, despair, hopelessness and smell swirl around you and...
