DIARIO VIVIR TROPICAL LATIN ROCK BANDEach of the groups songs are based on various aspects of daily life, this is where the name for this exceptional music group comes from; Diario Vivir. The groups goal is to be recognized as an exceptional latin rock band, who mixes tropical rhythms with a touch of straight up Rock.Orlando Guzman (Musical Director, Composer, Arranger, and Lead Guitarist) formed this group with the help of four members of his immediate family. His son Christian (18 yrs old) plays the drums, sings backup, and helps with the arrangement of music. His 17 year old daughter Coraly plays the congas, bongos, and d-jembe. His wife Cuqui Sánchez is the main backup singer and plays minor percussion. Friend of the Family Gerry Rivera plays bass guitar and sings backup. On some occasions the band even incorporates additional artists to play various instruments such as trombone, saxophone, and violin.The band was formed in 2001, when encouraged and supported by his family; Orlando Guzman decides to share his talent with the public and show everyone what one is capable of doing when you really want to achieve a dream. Shortly after starting the band he is offered the opportunity to play at some local venues. Among these was an awesome set they played at Fiesta Playera in Jacksonville Beach Florida. Shortly thereafter they had the opportunity to be one of the bands playing during the outside festivities of the 2001 Florida Georgia weekend and World of Nation. They were also part of the festivities during Superbowl XXXIX in Jacksonville. On many occasions theyve had the opportunity to share the stage with bands such as LOS PERICOS (@ Hemisferio Sur) Monchy y Alexandra (at the Roxy), Grupo Niche de Colombia (at the Jacksonville Radisson), in PUERTO RICO (@ festival de las chiringas),SI SEÑOR @ Patronales and Grupo Mania (at the Roxy),MICHAEL STUART @ fiesta playera ,opened show for VICTOR MANUELL,BANDA ALGARETE IN P.R,ETC..... Theyve even played at the Conexion Festival alongside many other Rock bands and have also had the opportunity to play before for the U.S. Olympic swim team coaches, and before members of the U.S. Marine Corps.Currently the band has been performing regularly all over Northeast , Central Florida and Puerto Rico. Jacksonvilles latin radio stations have embraced the band ever since their first demo Viernes Social was debuted on local radio. Since then various songs such as Cansado de sufrir, No es Facil, and Mundo Perfecto have gotten airplay along with interviews of the band.Everyday themes such as love, social issues, and personal hardships are the things which have motivated and influenced this band since its inception. Their highest goals are to play stages all over the world and touch peoples lives through music. In the meantime they will continue to work hard, play hard, and rock hard in the struggle to fulfill their dreams.
