About Me

One day, I will drink nothing but wine but it will cleanse my soul like Jesus' blood. A dream of mine was to travel back in time as a ghost and haunt Chopin's piano as he composed. Until that can be accomplished I will just have to learn his music on the piano. I'd love to do nothing but play his music on the piano for like a month. That would be almost heaven.I enjoy music. I love writing songs, drinking coffee with friends, drinking coffee alone, or drinking coffee with people I don't know very well. Sometimes I feel like the compassion in my heart will be my undoing, but then maybe that wouldn't be such a bad way to go. I'm still learning how to not care about the things that don't matter. I love God, and I love people. I'm tired of being sarcastic and pessimistic, God's teaching me how to hope. I care for apple jacks a great deal. B grade horror flicks from the 70s, cult classics, old school kung fu movies, anything by Quentin Tarantino, oh and I think Crash was one of the greatest films ever made.

Books:

Everything Is Illuminated by Jonathan Safran Foer and 'Why Are All the Black Kids Sitting Together in the Cafeteria' and Other Conversations About Race by Beverly Daniel Tatum, Ph.D. I also devour regular issues of Time and Rolling Stone, and Paste when I can get it. I'm kind of a magazine junkie, it's a damn shame.

Heroes:

my parents and sisters. and their husbands. okay okay my whole family. all twenty billion of them.
