My hero is my sister Shala. She was not only my sister but like my mother and my best friend. She passed away of cancer on October 19th 2005. At the young age of only 31. There will never be a day that passes that I will not think of her and the influence she had on my life. She left with us her 11 year old child, to help us remind us of her everyday. Her is the poem in her memory................God saw you were getting tired, And a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you And whispered "Come to me." With tearful eyes We watched you suffer And saw you fade away. Although we loved you dearly We could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating Hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best away.
