About Me

I'm a husband and father, who still enjoys playing music and watching horror films like an obsessed teenager. I have a wonderful family and friends along with a band that I am very proud to be a part of. Although part of me believes that rock and roll is dead, I still think what came before us is potent enough to preserve that tiny glimmer of hope that somewhere there is someone who is picking up a guitar for the first time who is going to change the world.

My Interests

Horror/Exploitation films, Rock and Roll in all it's disgusting forms, and ahem, action figures. yeah...

I'd like to meet:

Prince. He is like a beautiful tiny god. I'd also like to meet Michael Schenker to ask him why the Scorpions started to suck and though UFO was pretty good, what the hell is up with the MSG? Seriously. Not into it. I think I'd like to meet Ronnie James Dio too. He's got a badass voice and he's had some rockin' bands (uh, Rainbow, and Dio anyone?!) but mostly I want him to help me ride the tiger. And hopefully I can ride that tiger to meet the man on the silver mountain. (Said in a Peter Griffin way) Yeah...

Music:

To generalize, I enjoy making and listening to music made by and for scumbags. This list includes though not limited to: -The Hellacopters, Turbonegro, New Bomb Turks, Thin Lizzy, 70's era Scorpions, Supersuckers, Zeke, Diamond Nights, Gluecifer, The Flaming Sideburns, Backyard Babies, Deep Purple, New York Dolls, Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers, Molly Hatchet, Deep Purple, Wilco, Uncle Tupelo, Electric Frankenstein, Rolling Stones, Faces, Rocket From the Crypt, Trapeze, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Prince, MC5, Iggy and the Stooges, 60 Watt Shaman, The Wildhearts, Ryan Adams, Gram Parsons, The Spunks, Guitar Wolf, Teengenerate, Nashville Pussy, T Rex, Dead Boys, Ramones, Tricky Woo, Murder City Devils, The Replacements, Oasis, The Soundtrack of our Lives, The Dragons, Guns n' Roses, Black Sabbath, Ciryth Ungul, Bad Wizard, The Jayhawks, Little Richard, Allman Bros., The Lazy Cowgirls, Red Planet, ZZ Top, Led Zeppelin, Dixie Witch, Clutch, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Drive By Truckers, GitoGito Hustler, The Black Halos, Electic Eel Shock, The Devil Dogs (one of the all time greats), The Pagans, Two Cow Garage, Danzig era Misfits, Mott the Hoople, Mudhoney, The Hives, Gaza Strippers, Mammoth Volume,The Last Vegas, Amps II Eleven, Artimus Piledriver, Fireside, The Hidden Hand, Earthride, The Black Crowes, The Obsessed, Ted Nugent and the Amboy Dukes, Atomic Bitchwax, Prince, Otis Redding, Early Man, Entombed, Fireball Ministry, Rainbow, Motorhead, Danzig(first 3 albums only), Fu Manchu, Starmarket, The Divine Brown, The Glasspack, Deadboy and the Elephantmen, Slayer, UFO, Bon Scott only-era AC/DC, The Sewergrooves, Priestess, The Illuminati, Lamont, Halfway to Gone, Gonzalez, Goatsnake, Pentagram, Trouble, Leadfoot, Spirit Caravan, Blackwater Park, Ultra, Suplecs, Doomriders, 70's era Aerosmith, Place of Skulls, Union Carbide Productions, Brownsville Station, Sir Lord Baltimore, and this ridiculous list goes on and on.Currently I've been listening to these albums a lot:1.The Obsessed-Lunar Womb2.Clutch-From Beale St. to Oblivion3.The Hellacopters-High Visibility4.The Obsessed-The Church Within5.Aerosmith-Toys in the Attic6.Union Carbide Productions-In the Air Tonight7.Grand Funk-Closer to Home8.The Datsuns-Outta Sight/Outta Mind9.Aerosmith-Night in the Ruts10.Wooly Mammoth-The Temporary Nature

Movies:

I don't think I have enough time to list each of my horror films. The list is embarrassingly long and geeky. These are my favorites EVER.1.Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the original is the one that changed my life. don't be fooled by sequels or remakes. this is the ultimate in fear.)2.Evil Dead 1&23.Cannibal Holocaust4.Maniac5.Phantasm6.Blood Feast7.Toxic Avenger8.George Romero's Dead Series9.Cannibal Ferox10.Audition11.Videodrome (in my humble opinion, Cronenberg's masterpiece!)12.Basket Case13.Re-Animator14.Return of the Living Dead15.I Spit On Your Grave16.Last House on the Left17.The Hills Have Eyes18.I Drink Your Blood19.Lucio Fulci's Zombie20.SuspiriaLast great flick I saw: Without a doubt, Pan's Labyrinth. If there were any doubts that del Toro was a brilliant filmmaker, this should lay them to rest. It was beautiful.

Television:

My wife and I have a very strict TV regiment. These are the ONLY shows we watch:Family Guy (it takes presedence over all), American Dad, Studio 60, Boston Legal, American Idol (i know i should know better, but like all of you, watching someone else fail miserably makes me laugh.), My Name is Earl, The Office (both versions), Grey's Anatomy (like a drug, it consumes my mind week by week), Scrubs, 30 Rock

Books:

Bruce Campbell books , Harry Potter, Nick Hornsby, Horror Novels, Devil's Knot, books about Wilco (there are more than one), Cash by Johnny Cash. Seriously, I've read so many books it's too hard to make a list!!!

Heroes:

My Wife.
