My name is Molly and I'm a converted Muslim and a Communications graduate from Arizona State University. I'm originally from a small town north of the Twin Cities called Forest Lake, I graduated class of 2001, and left that town as quickly as possible to move on to bigger and better things. Of course bigger and better things translated to three years at Century Community College, but who's counting? I have gone really far from who I was in High School, to who I was in College, to who I am now. I've been through a lot in my life, but its only formed me into the person I am today. And I don't know about you, but I think I'm pretty cool. Other than that my husband is a real role model for me. He's the example of a Muslim that I want to live up to, he keeps me real and he keeps me in line. My momma raised me to be a no-nonsense girl, if you ask me I will tell you. Brutally. Honestly. Without reservations. But I will do it as kindly as I possibly can. I'm wrong more than I like to admit, but I do admit. I'm tough, but I have a good heart and I'd like to try to keep it that way.
I'm bilingual, I speak Spanish and English, and its a very LARGE part of my life. Soy guera afuera y morena adentro, hecha en los estados unidos pero con un corazon de Mexico. I'm poetic and romantic at heart, my dream is to be a writer and a documentarist, although I may not be very good at either. I want to write screenplays, although only for fun, I want to write poetry and novels, although I may never publish them. I love music, movies, and art. I love my religion and I love my God, I'm serious about being true to Allah. My favorite color is purple, my favorite band is Manu Chao and Radio Bemba, my favorite movie is Snatch. I love people, I love cultures and communities, languages, and history.

"A woman in hijab is like a present waiting to be unwrapped." -Faraz
I am a very happy Hijabi (this means I cover my head) and this is why:Quran:An-Nur:31 And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what (must ordinarily) appear thereof; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands' fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers or their brothers' sons, or their sisters' sons, or their women, or the slaves whom their right hands possess, or male servants free of physical needs, or small children who have no sense of the shame of sex; and that they should not strike their feet in order to draw attention to their hidden ornaments. And O ye Believers! turn ye all together towards Allah, that ye may attain Bliss.
