One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking
along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand;
one belonged to him and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked
back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the
path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed
that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it.
"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you,
you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed
that during the most troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand
why when I needed you the most you would leave me.

The LORD replied, "My precious, precious child, I love you
and I would never leave you. During your times of trial
and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."

Letter From God

My Dear Child;
Effective immediately, please be aware that there are changes you need to make in your life. These changes need to be completed in order that I may fulfill my promises to you, to grant you peace, joy and happiness in this life. I apologize for any inconvenievce, but after all that I am doing, this seems very little to ask of you. I know, I already gave you the 10 Commandments, but please do your best to follow these guidelines. Also:

QUIT WORRYING

Life has dealt you a blow and all you do is sit and worry. Have you forgotten that I am here to take all your burdens and carry them for you? Or do you just enjoy fretting over every little thing that comes your way"

PUT IT ON THE LIST
If something needs to be done or taken care of, put it on the list. No, not YOUR list, put it on MY to-do-list. Let ME be the one to take care of the problem. I can't help you until you turn it over to me. And although my to-do-list is long, I am after all, God. I can take care of anything you put into my hands. In fact, if the truth were ever really known, I take care of a lot of things for you that you never even realize.

TRUST ME

Once you've given your burdens to me, quit trying to take them back. Trust in me. Have the faith that I will take care of all your needs, your problems and your trials. Problems with the kids, put them on my list. Problems with finances, Put it on my list. Problems with ill health, put it on my list. Problems with your emotional roller coaster, for my sake, put it on my list. I want to help you. All you have to do is ask.

SHARE

You were taught to share when you were only two years old. When did you forget? That rule still applies. Share with those who are less fortunate than you, share your joy with those who need encouragement, share your laughter with those who haven't heard any in such a long time, share your tears with those who have forgotten how to cry and share your faith with those who have none.

LEAVE IT ALONE

Don't wake up one morning and say, "Well, I'm feeling much stronger now, I think I can handle it from here." Why do you think you are feeling stronger now? It's simple, you gave me your burdens and I'm taking care of them. I also renew your strength and cover you in my peace. Don't you know that if I give these problems back to you, you will be right back where you started? Leave them with me and forget about them. Just let me do my job.

TALK TO ME

I want you to forget a lot of things. Forget what was making you crazy, forget the worry and the fretting because you know I'm in control. But there is one thing I pray you never forget. Please don't forget to talk to me ... OFTEN! I love you. I want to hear your voice. I want you to include me in on the things going on in your life. I want to hear you talk about your friends and family. Prayer is simply you having a conversation with me. I want to be your dearest friend.

HAVE FAITH

I see a lot of things from up here that you can't see from where you are. Have faith in me that I know what I'm doing. Trust me, you wouldn't want the view from my eyes. I will continue to care of you, watch over you and meet your needs. You only have to trust me. Although I have a much bigger task than you, it seems as if you have so much trouble just doing your simple part. How hard can trust be?

BE PATIENT

I managed to fix it so in just one lifetime, you could have so many diverse experiences. You grow from a child to an adult, have children, change jobs many times, learn many trades, travel to so many places, meet thousands of people and experience so much. How can you be so impatient then when it takes me a little longer than you expect to handle something on my to-do-list? Trust in my timing, for my timing is perfect. Just because I created the entire universe in only seven days, everyone thinks I should always rush, rush, rush.

BE KIND

Be kind to others, for I love them just as much as I love you. They may not dress like you or talk like you or live the same way you do, but I still love you all. Please try to get along, for my sake. I created each of you different in some way. It would be too boring if you were all identical. Please know I love each of your differences.

LOVE YOURSELF

As much as I love you, how can you not love yourself? You were created by me for one reason only, to be loved and to love in return. I am a God of Love. Love me. Love your neighbours but also love yourself. It makes my heart ache when I see you so angry with yourself when things go wrong. You are very precious to me. Don't ever forget that.

There was a man who saw a scorpion floundering around in the water. He decided to save it by stretching out his finger, but the scorpion stung him. The man still tried to get the scorpion out of the water, but the scorpion stung him again.

Another man nearby told him to stop saving the scorpion that kept stinging him. But the man said: "It is the nature of the scorpion to sting. It is my nature to love. Why should I give up my nature to love just because it is the nature of the scorpion to sting?"

Don't give up loving. Don't give up your goodness. Even if the people around you HURT and STING.

So let us not become tired of doing good; for if we do not give up, the time will come when we will reap the harvest.

A wise woman who was traveling in the mountains found a precious stone in a stream.

The next day she met another traveler who was hungry, and the wise woman opened her bag to share her food. The hungry traveler saw the precious stone and asked the woman to give it to him. She did so without hesitation.

The traveler left, rejoicing in his good fortune. He knew the stone was worth enough to give him security for a lifetime. But a few days later he came back to return the stone to the wise woman.

"I've been thinking," he said, "I know how valuable the stone is, but I give it back in the hope that you can give me something even more precious.

She looked at him with a questionable look and said, "What is it you would like from me?" He said, "Give me what you have inside you that caused you to give me the stone."

Lord, allow all those that YOU bring in our path to only see YOU and cause them to desire what YOU have placed within us. We give YOU thanks and praise always. For only YOU are worthy of our praise.

How to Be a Real Jesus Freak

A "Jesus Freak" is a popular term for a believer in Christ who is committed, enthusiastic and continuing to grow. Read further to learn some great ideas on how to have a fulfilling relationship with God.

Steps

Read your Bible
Reading your Bible is sometimes a way God talks to you. It doesn't matter who you are, what you do or how old you are. Reading your bible is very helpful in your walk with God, and if you believe He will speak to you through it, He will--if you give Him enough time. Don't have time? Get up earlier. Not a morning person? Stay up later. Got to get up for work or school in the morning? Read it at lunch. It's that simple. No excuses.

Pray
Prayer is talking to God. The bible says to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17). This doesn't mean heads down, eyes closed all the time. You can pray while you drive, while you're at work, while you're at baseball game, whatever, just talk to Him; He will hear you. Leading a prayerful life means being a part of God, all the time. Constantly thanking Him, being with Him. God is everywhere- take notice!

Praise Him
Worship is an essential part of growing in Christ. Worship can be anything. Rocking out to your favorite song, holding hands with friends and praying, sitting around your dining room table and talking about the best part of being a part of the body of Christ. But bringing praise to Him doesn't have to just be praying and discussing Christianity--it is also living every single minute for Him. Obviously, we mess up, but He is willing to forgive if you are truly repentant. Try being more careful of your language, doing acts of kindness in His name, etc. All this brings praise to the Lord.

Tell the world, or at least your part of it.
Evangelism is a beautiful thing. You don't need to leaflet or memorize bible verses- just be prepared to share your beliefs and ideas with people who are interested. If you are truly living your life in a way that adores Christ, it will show through everything you do. The best sermons were lived, not spoken.

Church
The Church is the body of Christ. The good news? You're already a part of it. If you are a Christian you're a part of the body of Christ. You can find fellowship anywhere. At a local church, at a local coffee shop, through concerts, family, friends- everything. The Church is absolutely everyone who believes in Christ. However, being involved and committed to a local church is critically important. Accountability can be found here, and so much of the New Testament is about staying with and loving fellow believers. If you don't have a church, talk to a few local pastors and see what they have to say about it.

Tips
Find another Christian who is further along in their relationship with Christ to mentor you and keep you accountable. Be honest with yourself, others and with God--He knows everything about you anyways, so don't waste time trying to fool Him.

Warnings
You may be criticized, for being a Jesus Freak, but never back down. Even though you are being criticized, people will have respect for you. Remember, even though it's a wonderful thing to see people become Christians, you shouldn't try and shove it down their throats, as this is not only rude, but it is also likely to make them less likely to become Christian. The term "Jesus Freak" can be dangerous. Make sure you stay humble, and realize that you have no merit of your own outside of Christ's sacrifice.

One day, I woke early in the morning to watch the sunrise.
Ah the beauty of God's creation is beyond description.
As I watched, I praised God for His beautiful work.
As I sat there, I felt the Lord's presence with me.
He asked me,
"Do you love me?"

I answered,
"Of course, God! You are my Lord and Savior!"

Then He asked,
"If you were physically handicapped, would you still love me?"
I was perplexed. I looked down upon my arms, legs and the rest of my
body and wondered how many things I wouldn't be
able to do, the things that I took for granted.

And I answered,
"It would be tough Lord, but I would still love You."

Then the Lord said,
"If you were blind, would you still love my creation?"

How could I love something without being able to see it?
Then I thought of all the blind people in the world and
how many of them still loved God and His creation.

So I answered,
"Its hard to think of it, but I would still love you."

The Lord then asked me,
"If you were deaf, would you still listen to my word?"

How could I listen to anything being deaf?
Then I understood. Listening to God's Word
is not merely using our ears, but our hearts.

I answered,
"It would be tough, but I would still listen to Your word."

The Lord then asked,
"If you were mute, would you still praise My Name?"

How could I praise without a voice? Then it occurred to me: God wants us
to sing from our very heart and soul. It never matters what we sound like.
And praising God is not always with a song, but when we are persecuted,
we give God praise with our words of thanks.

So I answered,
"Though I could not physically sing, I would still

praise Your Name.

And the Lord asked,
"Do you really love Me?"

With courage and a strong conviction, I answered boldly,
"Yes Lord! I love You because You are the one and true God!"

I thought I had answered well, but God asked,
"THEN WHY DO YOU SIN?"

I answered,
"Because I am only human. I am not perfect."

"THEN WHY IN TIMES OF PEACE
DO YOU STRAY THE FURTHEST?
WHY ONLY IN TIMES OF TROUBLE
DO YOU PRAY THE EARNEST?"

No answers. Suddenly the tears came falling down like rain from the
corners of my eyes.My Heart was broken with a sorrow & sadness that
I've never felt before.I fell down to my knees in prayer.Asking the Lord for
His forgiveness & to have mercy on me !!!I'm so sorry O Lord ...

The Lord continued:
"Why only sing at fellowships and retreats?
Why seek Me only in times of worship? Why ask things so
selfishly? Why ask things so unfaithfully?"

The tears continued to roll down my cheeks.
"Why are you ashamed of Me? Why are you not spreading the good
news? Why in times of persecution, you cry to others when I offer My
shoulder to cry on? Why make excuses when I give you opportunities to
serve in My Name?"

I tried to answer, but there was no answer to give.
"You are blessed with life. I made you not to throw this gift
away. I have blessed you with talents to serve Me, but you
continue to turn away. I have revealed My Word to you, but you do not
gain in knowledge. I have spoken to you but your ears were closed. I
have shown My blessings to you, but your eyes were turned away. I have
sent you servants, but you sat idly by as they were pushed away. I have
heard your prayers and I have answered them all. DO YOU TRULY LOVE
ME ?"

I could not answer. How could I? I was embarrassed beyond
belief. I had no excuse. What could I say to this? When I my
heart had cried out and the tears had flowed, I said,

"Please forgive me Lord. I am unworthy to be Your child."

The Lord answered,
"That is My Grace, My child."

I asked,
"Then why do you continue to forgive me? Why do You
love me so?"

The Lord answered,
"Because you are My creation. You are my child.
I will never abandon you.I will never forsake you.You are my masterpiece,
my work of art.My Love for you is unfailing and for eternity!

When you cry, I will have compassion and cry with you.
When you shout with joy, I will laugh with you.
When you are down, I will encourage you.
When you fall, I will raise you up.
When you are tired, I will carry you.
I will be with you till the end of days, and I will
love you forever."

Never had I cried so hard before. How could I have been so cold?
How could I have hurt God as I had done?
I asked God,
"How much do You love me?"

The Lord stretched out His arms,
and I saw His nail-pierced hands.
I bowed down at the feet of Christ, my Savior.
And for the first time, I truly prayed with all of my Heart & soul.

A heavenly peace came over me straight to my Heart that I've never felt
before.For the Lord's love is perfect, constant, and He is Faithful til the
end!!!

" The LORD is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy. The LORD is good to all, And His tender mercies are over all His works." (Psalm 145:8,9 NKJV)

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.(Romans 3:23,24 NIV)

It had been a long day’s journey and now he was about to get some rest.
Probably the last thing Jacob wanted to do was engage in a wrestling match
with the God of the Universe.
But, it wasn’t Jacob that engaged God—it was God who engaged Jacob.
Many believe it was actually Jesus Christ Himself who came down to get
Jacob’s attention. Here God’s Son wrestled with Jacob late into the night
until He finally crippled him. Now Jacob was helpless and broken—and now
God was about to give Him a new name.
God cannot bless us until He has broken us. In our pride we continue to fight
with God. He finally has to bring something into our lives that leaves us
completely helpless and begging for His presence. It is then that God begins
His work of transformation. He wants us to depend on Him instead of
depending on ourselves.
The world tosses away its broken pieces. It only wants the best, the brightest, the
good-looking. God says, "give me those broken pieces. I’ll
make something beautiful out of them."
So perhaps you’re broken today. Perhaps you feel as though you’ve been
forsaken and tossed aside by the world. Remember, God only uses broken
men and women.
Love is not written on paper,
For paper can be erased.

We are very much aware that we live in a broken world.
Unfortunately, our broken world is also filled with broken people.
In days of pain and anguish, in days when those who hurt know their
helplessness, we have no other source than God to whom we can turn.
The LORD, the covenant God of Israel, who kept his promises,
preserved his people and produced his Messiah, is also the God who
stands by us. In the short run, there are moments when he appears
to not be watching or listening or caring. What do we do in those
moments? Pretend we don't have our feelings and doubts? No, we
honestly cry out to our LORD who has redeemed, saved, and liberated
in the past and call on him to do the same in our day!
PRAYER:
God of hope, do not be far from us in days that are dark and
menacing. Restore to us the joy of living and the hope of good
things; give us comfort in our times of pain and anguish. Lift up
your hand and act to bring repentance and renewal to our time, our
families, our culture, and your Church as you have done in the

Just as God saw the plight of the Israelites in Egypt and heard
their cries for help, he still sees and hears today. But now, he
hears not only because he is omnipotent; he hears also because of
the intercession of his Son and our Savior, Jesus. Jesus has been
here. Jesus has faced the specter of death and the pain of torture
and ridicule. Jesus means God not only hears our cries for help; he
also feels the agony with us. That is why he came. He is our
assurance that God feels, cares, acts, and ultimately saves.
PRAYER:
God, Father and Savior, please be with those who are bearing the
incredible weight of agony and pain. Some of these I know and pray
for personally. Others I do not know, but they still need your
comfort, strength, and grace to sustain them in their days of agony
and grief. Please bless them with clear evidence of your care. In

I am part of the "Fellowship of the Unashamed."
The die has been cast. I have stepped over the line.
The decision has been made. I am a disciple of Christ Jesus.
I won't look back, let up, slow down, back away, or be still.
My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, my future secure.
I am finished and done with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees,
colorless dreams, chintzy giving, and dwarfed goals.
I no longer need pre-eminence, prosperity, position, promotions, plaudits, or popularity.
I now live by presence, lean by faith, love by patience, lift by prayer, and labor by power.
My pace is set, my gait is fast, my goal is Heaven, my road is narrow, my way is rough,
my companions few, my Guide reliable, my mission clear.
I cannot be bought, compromised, deterred, lured away, turned back, diluted, or delayed.

Imagine if you will, a beautiful stallion galloping across a meadow, his sleek coat glistening in the sun, his long mane blowing in the wind. So beautiful, so majestic, so gifted and powerful; yet absolutely useless to his master until broken. Many of us are that way. We have so many gifts and talents, so much we could offer God and others, but absolutely useless to the Master until broken.
David said, "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise." (Psalm 51:17)
To be broken is to completely lay aside your personal agenda and yield fully to the lordship of Christ.
For most of us that doesn't happen until God brings us through a season of heartache. It's a painful process, but the rewards are enormous.
You see God doesn't want vessels to merely hold the things of His spirit. He wants broken vessels so that they can poor out into the lives of others.
So, when heartache comes be sure to yield to the process and don't try to fix what God's trying to break...

The more we come to know and experience God,
the greater our trust ~ because He is always faithful.
Doubt diminishes and our faith increases ... 'til we
finally learn that there is no one we can trust
more than Him, not even ourselves...
One day, I was asked if I would forgive
By someone who had wounded my very soul.
The hurtful actions had shattered my heart
In the form of deceit and lies that were told.
My anger lashed out with fervor and force
To protect the wounds of ego and pride.
I could not contain the hurt I felt,
Nor the mournful sorrow I suffered inside.
How can I forgive, am I expected to forget
These appalling deeds directed at me?
And, if I forgive, will it happen again?
Just how vulnerable must I be?
I could not sleep, I could not eat.
I carried this anger bold and brave.
"I had been wronged; had been deceived."
The anger validation had all been saved.
But, I soon grew tired and weary of heart,
With the anger becoming a heavy load.
I prayed to God and humbly said,
"I am hurting; please help me down this road."
He said, "You must forgive . . . "
"Me, forgive? But it was I who was wronged!"
"But my child, you are the burdened one -
While the other stays healthy and strong."
"Forgiveness is for you, and you alone,
For you are the one carrying the load.
When you forgive, your burden will lift
And you will again travel light upon the road."

Heavenly Father,

Lord when I feel lost and alone in this dark world and when I feel there isn't anybody else around Lord when I feel your light is nowhere to be found that's when I remember your hand is reaching down.
I now realize I need to give everything up and concentrate on the things that really matter when Satan comes my way my heart wont be shattered so when I stop to pray my enemies will scatter.

Lord Why Do I Suffer?
I prayed to the Lord for my troubles to cease,
But instead of departing, they seemed to increase.
Each day found new problems I'd not faced before,
And so my depression just grew more and more.
I begged and I pleaded, "Lord, please let me die!
If You can't ease my pain, at least tell me why."
The Lord said, "My dear child, I love you so much!
And I could have erased all those tears with one touch.
But I wanted to teach you to cling to My hand,
And trust Me for things you cannot understand.
I wanted to show you that when things go wrong,
My strength in your weakness will make you grow strong.
You've suffered because you were chosen to be
A light for the lost, and a witness for Me.
As you travel the pathway I've laid out for you,
You will meet many hearts that are suffering too.

Beloved, I am there.
Before God spoke the universe into existence He knew my
name. Before He created the atmosphere He held me in His
heart. Before He created the oceans, the land, the plants
and creeping things, He chose the color of my hair. Before
He created the animals and before He created the first
man, He loved me.
He placed within Adam’s body all of the DNA of every
human being who would ever walk the earth, and within
him he placed the color of my eyes. Before He knit me
together within my mother’s womb, he cherished the sound
of my laugh. Before I shed my first tear he felt my pain.
Before my sin, my sorrow, and my stubborn disobedience,
he chose to carry them to the Cross. He hung there His
blood pouring out…for me.
Why he chose to do this I cannot comprehend. God wanted
me to be his own child. How can that be? With all of my flaws and character defects He wanted me to believe in Him, and He gave me the grace to believe in myself. God
loves me with a fire that can never be quenched. I am
special to him, even if I am not special to anyone else,
including myself.
I have tried to perfect myself, and I have failed. I have
tried to believe the world’s message, but I have found no
answers. I have followed the paths forged by others only
to find disaster at every bend in the road. Only God has
given me the answers that I have sought. Peace. Love.
Fulfillment.
The change in my life is not a complicated one. It’s not
about how good I am or how I pray or how often I go to
church. It’s not about money or fame or popularity. I
cannot speak for others. They must decide for themselves.
I only know that the world has given me no happiness.
After searching my entire life, I have only been able to find
the answers to my questions on my knees at the foot of the Cross...
Where He leads me I will follow
When He speaks I will obey
For I'm hidden in the hollow
Of The Hands that mold the clay
Kneeling at His Holy altar
I am strengthened by His touch
He reminds me when I falter
He's far more than just a crutch
