I am a former supermarket complex. I was created as a private school that working and middle-class families could afford. Lots of former hippies sent their kids to me. We all had a lot of fun together. Kids from other schools scoffed at my buildings with their lack of full-length walls and my sloped playground, but my kids loved me anyway."

true...i owe much of what i am today to my "hippy years" at DCS being a little crackhead. and what other school would let me leave campus once (or twice) a week to "have lunch with my mom", or show up late to school every day...when i lived around the block? rest in peace, DCS...rest in peace.
