My Interests

People who text and drive...I want to know the other crazy maniacs out there like me. I know, it's a terrible thing.Friends who have the time to tivo my favorite shows so that I can just come over and watch it at their place. My new favorite thing is Pajama Brunch when I make my friends come over hung over in their PJs on a lazy Sunday while I make them breakfast along with mimosas...listen & share music, read fashion & gossip magazines and play lazy all day.One more thing...discovering silly television shows like "So Notorious" or "Blow Out" and being hooked on the entire weekend of marathons (who needs tivo!)

I'd like to meet:

Somebody who wants to have a "meet cute" or Bjork!

Music:

This could go on forever...One thing for sure, you need to be a passenger in my car to play Mary's Jukebox: Here's what you do, pick a disc 1-6, then you pick a track 1 + and you have to adlib to the song you've selected. It's a Lester Temple favorite...Sometimes, he ends up singing to Gwen Stefani...that's an interesting ride home! This month here's what I'm currently listening to on my ipod: Rob Dickinson, Hard Fi, Artic Monkeys, Editors, Elefant(okay DJ, you got your plug!) & Every Move A Picture...at home on the weekends... Air, Radiohead, Bjork, Astrud Gilberto, Catherine Wheel (Adam & Eve) The Verve/Richard Ashcroft(As Trina would call him...The Beautiful Ugly Man), Nina Simone, Aretha Franklin, Mozart, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald...Frank Sinatra "Fly Me To The Moon" .

Movies:

Totally random...Sixteen Candles, Beautiful Girls, So I Married An Axe Murderer, Sliding Doors, About A Boy, The Family Stone, Point of No Return, Escape From Alcatraz, Splendor in the Grass, The Holiday, Fever Pitch and Garden State!

Television:

Hands down..."Grey's Anatomy" have you ever tried calling me during that hour? "Prison Break"...Wentworth Miller is my new favorite hero...I remember writing to my penpal convicts back in college, I think that I'm just connecting with my youth..."Scrubs" because I've dated dorky-goober guys like Zach Braff and I think he's super funny...Project Runway,"Blow Out", who doesn't like watching an extremely hot looking asshole, who is incredibly successful, think they are the shit and have complete mental breakdowns and cry all in one hour? "So NoTORIous" now really, who knew that Tori Spelling could act as herself and be ridiculously funny? Oh, and shameless to say "TYRA"...because the thought of having MY own show doesn't scare me after seeing her host her show...I know that I can only do better!

Books:

WOW...all I know is that they are stacking up on my bedside collecting dust bunnies...Jerry the "Witch Doctor" says' "Clutter by the bedside leaves a cluttered mind", You know I think he's right! I have to say that the one book that is frequently opened is my journal. I've been actively writing in journals since I was 18 years old when I first took off for Europe. Thanks to Jenn the artist, she taught me how to express myself freely and capture every single essence of my life...good and bad...the best gift she's taught me and I love her for that. I think that I've got about 20+ journals lying around...

Heroes:

My Dad of course...he was super talented and a multi-tasker! He was a musician (He played the violin, guitar, bass, drummer, guitar, tenor sax, marachas, tamborine) and singer, a pilot, a hair stylist, an Arthur Murray dance instructor and Aeronautical Engineer (honored by NASA). Most importantly when he retired from his professional career with all his honors, at his retirement announcement, he said his greatest life accomplishment was being a dad for my brother and I.
