As a young B-Boy Dainja was experimenting with the elements of hiphop before he realized his true calling. DJ Dainja started his career in the early 90's as a hiphop/dancehall DJ at a small local spot in Gothenburg, Sweden. That club soon became an important meeting place where alot of colaborations and exclusive performances, from both local hiphop heads and people from all over the world visiting Sweden, was held. Club Milk was born. Some years later Dainja started the now world famous hiphop spot FATMILK. In now 10 years, big and small acts from all over the globe has been seen on the stage rocking the always crowded FATMILK. Canibus, Wu Tang, Slum Village, Tha Liks, Beatnuts, Jeru, Masta Ace, Smut Peddlers, Supernatural and countless other acts has made European hiphop history in this renown club.
Fatmilk is now on hiatus and had its last big show december 12th in New York City. 33 sweidsh hiphop artists were flown out to New York to celebrate the end of the Fatmilk era. The Fatmilk legacy might be over but DJ Dainja is now one of the biggest DJ names in Scandinavia and has been spinning pretty much all over the world. Hes been djing for live shows with Canibus, Cage, Thirstin Howl and others. With his unique style of mixing hiphop, rnb, reggae, 80s, soul and rock, DJ Dainja is the total package. He rocks clubs, radio shows, live gigs, outdoor festivals and still got his foot on the street making mixtapes.
DJ Dainja is also a beatmaker and is the man behind many street hits with american MCs like Canibus, Pumpkinhead, Sage Francis, Louis Logic, Akrobatik and many more.
Today DJ Dainja has just released his critically acclaimed mixtape "The '80s Show" hosted by Swedish gold selling rapper Timbuktu and will be touring Europe and Asia for the comming months.
