JayStarSeven is the greatest enfant terrible on Gothenburgs hiphop scene, an uncompromising discjockey with no regards for cheese nor sleaze. Being a creative force behind clubs such as the late Harlem World and Other Side of The Tracks to the current projects Footprints, Puzzle & Sometimes which hosted various guest as Mika Snickars, Brasse-Agge (Via Brazil), Beatfanatic, DJ Scribe, Brennan Green, Titonton Duvante, Trickski, Yam Who, Paul Mac Innes, Darshan Jesrani, Stray, Karizma, Bjørn Torske, Mad Mats & Aaron Phiri, Trus'me, Atjazz etc.
As this is being written, JayStarSeven has set his reputation firmly in cement at the foundations of the underground scene and has become one of the most frequently hired dance music dj:s on the swedish west coast. This mainly due to his residency at his own clubs and a big amount of appreciated clubgigs all around.
JayStarSeven delivers equal amounts of Detroit beats, soul, brazil and alternative techno, all firmly rooted in the line of funk tradition that constantly has to be re-written. With an eclectic and thoughtful selection combined with those great skills JayStarSeven turns dancefloors all over the place mutate into a sweating, tooth-flashing, rhytmic chaos.
