Our mandate is to bring Heavy Metal back to the mainstream of the Canadian music industry.
It is long overdue that a Heavy Metal category should be represented at the Juno's as should all provincial music award shows. We will work towards making this happen as well as organizing our own Canadian Heavy Metal award show. We will have national and regional awards that will represent both male and female award categories. Part of our mandate is to work towards building a Canadian Heavy Metal Hall Of Fame.
Since all the mainstream media types jumped off the bandwagon in 1991, the metal recording industry has suffered. As a Canadian metal head, you should be as concerned as interested!If you’re in a band looking to network, or more importantly a heavy metal fan, then you should join and help bring metal back to the forefront of popularity. It is time for heavy metal to be taken seriously again. Don't blame downloading on Metal Heads... 95% of the ones we know don't burn their music because they want the cool packaging that metal bands take pride in producing, and they believe in properly supporting their favorite bands. Headbangers don't popularize gangs and gun violence or degrade women in their music. If more young people listened to metal, Canada would be a better place.
