You scored as Elinor Dashwood. As Marianne's older sister, Elinor lives at the other end of the emotional spectrum. She rarely reveals her intense feelings and is more concerned with being honest and loyal than having what she deserves. Even though her intentions are pure, she sets herself up for loss by constantly placing other people before her own needs. Overall, Elinor is gentle and rational but is just as capable of radical emotions (despite her withholding them) as her sister.

My Interests

I love music! Whether listening or playing it, I love it. I also love studying the Bible... you know, when you can actually get hours a day to dive into a book (which is one reason I love my job). I've taken up running as well... who'd have thought! Yeah, so I'm not that fast and can't go very far, but I get to listen to music while I run. A bonus for sure!

I'd like to meet:

Ummm... good question! At the risk of seeming very shallow, I would say that I'd like to meet Alison Krauss and Ricky Skaggs (huge musical influences in my life). Also, I've always thought it would be cool to meet someone like Elisabeth Elliot and sit down to hear her stories.

Music:

Yes! I especially love, Alison Krauss, Ricky Skaggs (and Kentucky Thunder), Del McCoury Band, Gavin DeGraw, Jason Mraz, Counting Crows, Switchfoot, David Crowder Band, Bebo Norman, Sean Watkins (which would include Nickel Creek), Mark O'Connor, Rachel Abernathy :-), Reveling :-), and many more that I can't think of right now. Oh, and I do have to confess that I like a bit of Avril's music too.

Movies:

Pride and Predjudice... Pretty much the best movie of all time! (all five and a half hours!)

Television:

House, Amazing Race, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Cold Case, Law and Order, CSI, Without a Trace, What not to Wear, and, yes, I even enjoy watching the Disney channel shows with my siblings (That's so Raven, Phil of the Future... you get the idea)

Books:

Currently reading the Bible :)... also reading "Northanger Abbey" by Jane Austen (read it... I know you'll love it!)

Heroes:

Ultimate hero: God... Lowly human heros: Pretty much anyone who has given their life for the spreading of the gospel; those that live a life continually persecuted for the gospel; my students (who work so very hard); oh, and those OT prophets... they have crazy stories of doing things that this world doesn't understand.

My Blog

Shots and Mirrors...

I was in a local coffee shop last week studying, like I do very often, when I saw a someone with a frappe' type drink (I think that's what you call it). It looked so good, but I highly doubted that I ...

Myspace...

MySpace... its really quite interesting, if you think about it. I mean, it keeps people in touch... you can look for old friends, or hope for old friends to find you. But the thing that really amuses ...
